Had a great date night with Wifey. Food is always amazing and spot on. We even ordered some to take back home to the kiddos who love the place as well.

Excellent food, bit on the pricey side but with great taste and presentation. Staff was super nice but my only complaint was that they seemed to be a bit understaffed with our kind waiter doing reception, serving and taking orders all on her own.

Note: I have a tendency to over order, as I like variety when I eat. At first, it started as a party of 2, but after the food started coming out, it dawned on us that the portions were definitely a lot bigger than we anticipated. We had to call over another person to help finish everything. The Loaded Fries were definitely good but quite heavy. It can easily fill you up, so order at your own discretion. Their Kimichi Fried Rice was fine, not good or bad. The bibimbap was a bit of a let down. The bowl wasn’t hot enough to make crispy rice. It was a lot soggier/wet than what I’m used to. The Galbijim/Kalbijim “Short Rib Stew” wasn’t the best. The meat was very tender; however, the overall broth was sort of lacking. I’m not sure but it didn’t leave a great impression. If and whenever a Korean restaurant offers Boodae Jjigae, there is no doubt that I’ll order it to try it. Why? It’s the epitome of Korean and American foods being thrown together. My thoughts on theirs? I’d give it a solid 7 out of 10. It didn’t have a lot of ingredients that you normally see (cheese, beans). Also, there was so much tofu, that it was ridiculous. If you or anyone you know are big eaters, that offer a AYCE (all you can eat) for 2 hours. It’s not a bad deal, but I wasn’t up for the challenge that day.

I ordered the Buldak (Korean Fire Chicken). It was so good, the chicken is well cooked and the flavor is wonderful, spicy level is mild and it comes with rice and a choice of default sides (kimchi/pickled cucumber/pickled radish). I give 4 stars because I think the rice is cooked on the grill, so it’s a bit crusty (refer to last photo) (not soft) in my opinion

Came in today for late lunch/early dinner. We walked in at 3:30, but the workers informed us that they opened at 4 so we had to wait a bit before we could be served. No big deal, it was mainly a mistake on our part for not double-checking their hours. It was a weekday too, so it wasnt packed. We ordered the (halal) korean fried chicken and the (halal) korean brisket. We originally wanted the bulgogi (halal) bbq plate but that was actually sold out from the night before, which indicated the popularity.

Wow, delicious Halal KBBQ! All the chicken items and the Bulgogi was Halal on the menu, absolutely delicious with authentic flavours. A bit in the pricier side but oh so worth it. I got the chicken wings mild and it had plenty of flavour and crunch, the wings were meaty and tasted phenomenal.

I would highly recommend calling in to check whats available before you come here cuz when we visited, they were out of their bowls (the most popular item), shrimp and lemonade. The saucy tofu was okay but the tofu taco was really good.

The secret is out for this halal Korean BBQ joint. Halal and vegan items are explicitly marked on the digital only menu. It does have fairly limited seating, possibly between 25 and 35 seats, and there was a wait time even in a weekday evening. Advanced reservation is advised for larger parties. The Korean fried chicken is especially savory, well seasoned, and with the right mix of crispiness and tenderness. The tacos and burgers, however were very average. The decor consisted largely of empty beer bottles which seems a bit too tacky for my tastes.

This is a city gem hidden in the southern tip of The West Loop. The korean wings are perfectly breaded and crispy and juicy. Their spicy sauce has good heat, but not overpowering. The bulgogi taco was well done. The marinade used here is exactly what i expected. The highlight is their kalbi with rice and pickles. The marinade is similar to the bulgogi, but a bit more substantial meat in the short rib. My only drawback is that it’s a higher price point than other authentic Korean restos. And i was a bit surprised by the automatic 18% service fee. But overall, the food was very tasty and a very friendly environment in a fairly small space.

Great hidden gem in the West Loop. Ordered the LA Kalbi and received a bigger portion than expected, which was a pleasant surprise. The marinade packed a flavorful punch, and the complimentary side dishes (kimchi, radish, and pickles) paired very nicely with the beef.
