SoHo Bistro did not come to play. The Chinese food was excellent, and the sesame chicken was the star of the show. Crispy, flavorful, and easily some of the best I have had since moving to Charlotte. The staff was warm and welcoming, which always earns bonus points. I left full, happy, and already planning my return to work my way through the rest of the menu.

I really want to like this location. I love Chinese food. I have also been to Asia. Which maybe makes me a critic. I ordered dumplings. They were fried but tasted terrible. I’m not sure if it was breading etc. see pics. Also I ordered 20 minutes before pick up and still waited 15 minutes. The person who greeted me was very nice. The place was completely empty.

My daughter and I shared the Moo Shoo Pork and it was fabulous. She also enjoyed the wonton soup. The bathroom was very clean and the service was excellent. If you’re going to the Blumenthal this is a great choice because of the close walking distance and. Our food was served quickly!!

A restaurant that serves fresh and delicious food, run by only three staff members: a cook, a dishwasher, and a lady who has been managing the place for 22 years and owns three dogs. I was satisfied with the food and hope they continue their business. However, I suggest they clean the restroom better and avoid using it as a storage area. My total bill for food and drinks was only $28.

I’ve been coming to Soho Bistro for over 20 years, and it’s been consistently amazing. The food is always fresh and flavorful, the atmosphere warm and welcoming, and the staff are some of the friendliest and most attentive you’ll find anywhere. It’s rare to find a place that maintains such great quality and service for so long — a true Charlotte gem. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a great meal and great people!

As you can see, I got the sesame chicken, and they brought me white rice instead of the fried I paid for. If you look closely you can see that there’s still some left on the plate, meaning they probably just brushed it off and added the goods. Not a deal breaker for me, but the crunchy chicken absolutely was. Pretty sure what I ate was 90% breading. Points off for that, and flavor too.
They got my order wrong, but the service was speedy and attentive. Not a lot of customers, but they made sure to keep the place tidy regardless. I probably won’t be going again due to the quality of the meal I ate, but it was a nice looking place! This will serve you well for a business lunch or a cheap rendezvous.

The food is amazing, and, as some other posts mentioned, the owner is chatty–delightfully so! Her conversation was truly the best part of our experience. She didn’t hover or intrude; rather, she was attentive, prompt, friendly, and witty. 10/10! (Thank you for a great evening!)

currently staying in charlotte for a concert and this was the first place we ate at. the staff was very attentive and kind, the service was extremely fast and the prices are very reasonable. i tried the chicken with garlic sauce, spring rolls, and shrimp lettuce wraps. everything came out quickly and the flavors were very good. i would definitely come here again, especially because their menu is pretty large with a lot of different options!

The servers were nice. I wish they had told us about the sauces they gave us with our food. One seemed to be a sour sauce and the other a very spicy mustard. My mother and I both had shrimp so im not really sure what the mustard was meant for. The food was decent overall but couldve used a little more flavor. Also I felt the greens in my shrimp and scallop bowl far overpowered the very small noodles.
