Good buffet! I think it would be a 4.5 stars, but my grandsons 4 andn7 years said to give it a 5 star review. The selection of food was very good, service was very good and staff were attending to buffet exceptionally. They had kid prices too which was great. I will come back!

It was decent. It’s cheap Chinese food what can I say? My only complaint would be they need a bigger selection but I understand that would be hard due to the size of the interior. Food was worth hitting up for lunch.

First visit, we were happy and we’ll come back.
The outside doesn’t look like much but the food was very good and the service great. Constant checks on the food and super quick bussing service.
Smaller buffet but there really wasn’t anything we tried that we didn’t like.
My favorites – egg drop soup as nice broth without being oily. Egg rolls – not overly cooked and good flavor. Dumplings- so good I didn’t even use the sauce. Mongolian Beef – nice slices of tender beef with great flavor and correct onions.
Fruit looked good and had juicy flavor. Pudding is might be from a can but it has a dark, rich flavor. The puff filling had a surprising citrus flavor.
The “spicy” dishes had a little kick to them but not overly spicy at all.

decent chinese buffet. the fried squid, mayonnaise shrimp, green beans, and fried rice were great. some of the other dishes are hit or miss depending on your taste. the seafood cheesy dish is pretty good. they have the standard desserts too. i came for dinner but lunch may be more worth it if you dont really eat sea food.

Ate here on Thanksgiving day. Pleasantly surprised the food was delicious especially my favorite crabrangoon egg rolls and fried rice. Honey chicken was excellent. The staff and service were very friendly and great service . Nice to have a Chinese buffet back in Lawrence. Ks . We will be returning soon.

The food was delicious and fresh!! If they were running low-only took a few minutes and more was brought out 🙂 it looked really small from the outside-so I was surprised how big it actually was inside. We ate there during lunch and it was cheaper then going to a fast food restaurant. Will definitely be back!!

A bit heavy-handed with Sichuan pepper on the spicy dishes, which was fine with me. My personal favorite was the fried calamari. The crab rangoons were excellent with light, airy wrappers perfectly balancing the filling. Label placement was kind of confusing at times, but you don’t really need them to recognize each dish. Service was attentive and kind. Very happy!

Spicy means spicy. A lot of grease involved. Shrimps are budget priced/taste. Service was good and attentive! Kinda pricey for the quality. We’re gonna try it again sometime down the road to see if it improves in food quality.

Definitely not your “traditional” Chinese buffet. This place (Sohao) is very well lit , very very clean, and a pleasant atmosphere. We came around 1130am on a Saturday and we’re seated right away. The food was fresh (and stayed that way), looked and tasted great. While I am not a big Asian food fan, I found plenty to keep me happy here. Bonus on the dessert – no nasty old ice cream machine; they have three flavors of prepackaged ice cream in a well kept freezer.
Our family (2 bigs and 2 littles) recommend this place and will be back.
