How did we not find this restaurant sooner? What a gem this place is. Everything we have tried so far as been excellent. Our go to place for menudo now. If menudo isn’t your thing, you cannot go wrong with the huevos rancheros, enchiladas, chilaquiles, or chili relleno either. Sofi treats everyone like family so be ready for some good natured teasing

HOLY COW this food is fire. Decided to try this place while walking by and managed to score two meals for $28 tipped. Super affordable and really good food.
I got the two tacos beans and rice for $10. Insane.

Restaurant was clean. Service was lacking. Got the chorizo and eggs with rice, beans, and bacon – food was ok, not great. Their salsa was very smokey and bitter. Pico did not have jalapeños and the onions in it tasted old. They only had lemon, no lime. Meal was expensive – They charged $8 for 4 strips of bacon. Would not come back or recommend.

This is a great authentic Mexican restaurant! She came out with freshly made chips and homemade salsa. The flavors are great, you can tell that they make the sauces too. 10/10 would recommend. We had the chimichanga and enchiladas and they were both great!They speak English and Spanish here.

We walked in and ordered a couple of breakfast burritos to take to the park with us. They are amazing! They are large (Im stuffed and saved the last 1/3 for another meal.) stuffed from end to end with plenty of filling…delicious! The green chili was on the side and was a little spicy, but not overwhelming. The price was very good considering the portions. I would definitely return!

Sofi’s restaurante is by far my favorite restaurante. As soon as I walked in the door, they gave me amazing customer service. Sofia and Reyna were my waitresses. They gave me the best service & they didn’t disappoint. If I could give more than 5 stars I for real would. The whole team is the sweetest and is very attentive. With the best authentic food hands down. I been to other places and no one does it like Sofi’s restaurante. I ordered their chilaquiles and it was literally the best chilaquiles I have ever had. Just thinking about it makes my mouth water! Im telling yall! If yall looking for a bomb restaurant to go to, try Sofi’s restaurant they wont disappoint! I will of course be back!

First time. Went on Saturday at 8 . No waiting,self seating. Mike our server took our drink orders. My wife had the 2 piece french toast. No taste and undercooked, soggy. My Ribeye was a thin cut. Ordered medium rare. Overcooked and a tough piece of meat. . My eggs potatoes and toast were great. Service was good. The place was clean. We will come back and give it another try.

I have been in Arizona for 11 yrs and have found only one other decent Mexican food restaurant. Although this is a modest food restaurant, the food hear is one of the best my husband and I have tasted. I know everyone has different food pallets. But this very modest affordable corner in Surprise is well worth it. The owner of Sofi’s restaurant is kind and is proud of the food she cooks with love, and you can taste that in her cooking. The staff are very attentive and friendly. I’ll be going back again very soon.

Great little family owned Mexican restaurant that competes very well against the larger multi site chains. Service is outstanding, portions are huge, and the quality of the food will have you wanting to lick your plate clean. The menu is extensive with daily off-menu specials like all you can eat shrimp for $12.99 or a fish-fry for $10.99. Prices are from the ’70’s and the restaurant is definitely worth trying as you won’t regret it.
