I was hoping to have breaking news on the newest hottest place to get cheesesteaks in Morton. It was a good cheesesteak. It had a good amount of meat. Cheese as in cheesesteak, please give me more cheese. Please stop serving cheesesteaks in baskets. Please cut my cheesesteak. Maybe my hopes were too high. Good overall experience.

Wife and I went in after a recommendation from a neighbor. Gentleman behind the counter was super friendly and nice. He recommended the Sofie’s Steak with American wiz, to which I agreed.
Overall Cheesesteak Rating: 8/10
Fundamentals of a Cheesesteak:
Bun (1/2 points): It all starts with the solid base, the bread was light and fluffy, but for me it lost a point because the outer crust was a little tough and chewy, but not enough to ruin it. Some may even enjoy this, it just wasn’t for me.
Steak (4/4 points): Not sure what exactly they use, I think their menu says, I’m just too lazy to look, but you can tell it is fresh. Shaved thin and cooked nicely, well done here!
Cheese (3/3 points): I’m still not sure what exactly American wiz is, but I enjoyed it! No complaints.
Extras (0/1 point): The cheesesteak comes with Sofie’s sauce on it, and although the sauce was decent, it just wasn’t my flavor. It adds a bit of sweetness that I was not expecting and in this instance didn’t like. As with the bun, it may be for you, in which case I hope you try and enjoy this place! I would recommend getting the sauce on the side until you find out for yourself. Additionally, it came with diced onions, which is a plus in my book, but as this is an all or nothing category of one point towards the grand total, I’m sorry, but you lost me on the sauce.
We also ordered fries, which was a very generous amount of fresh, crispy, hot fries!
Overall, they were friendly, food was quickly delivered, and it taste great. Will be back if we return to the area and I hope you give it a try as well!

Sofies Steaks in Morton is no joke. Delicious fresh liscios roll. Well seasoned, juicy perfectly chopped meat. Velvety smooth house made American whiz. 12$ for a large. This thing was solid. Great value for how much steak and cheese you get. Definitely worth checking out. New local favorite for me.

Cheesesteak packed with everything wanted all for no extra cost and jumbo wings that size up to the name. Everything was delicious…I even tried the sofie sauce which kinda reminded me of a bang bang sauce with something extra, very good!

The food was basic at the most. I ordered a CheeseSteak hoagie for lunch, I ordered mushrooms, hot peppers, onions and lettuce on the hoagie. Sad to say I’ve had better CheeseSteak Hoagies from WaWa. The lettuce was thrown on top like a last minute thought. The hoagie wasn’t even sliced in the middle. It just seemed as if whomever prepared my hoagie didn’t care about their job. I will not order from here again nor will I recommend Sofie’s Steaks to anyone I know.

So where should I start, so first time ordering from Sofie’s and the wings are delicious since I have high blood pressure these wings I got I don’t taste a single bit of salt the cooking is perfect the wings are done to the Tee. I highly recommend and I’m a big foodie I will be back keep it up

I passed by this place multiple times while working here in PA. I decided to try it out and was not disappointed. Sofie’s Cheesesteak was so good and went to the number 1 spot for me. (I’ve been trying every cheesesteak here; 7 places so far) The sizes are quite insane from regular, large and xtra large but hey… plenty of leftovers haha. The fries were also spot on, not undercooked or over crispy. The chicken nuggets were a step above, like having a premium nugget superior than McDonald’s. I’d definitely recommend Sofies to anyone passing by, it’s definitely worth it.
