The beat Mexican food on Staten Island! We come here at least 1-2 times a month & we never had a bad meal. The drinks are delicious & the food is consistently stellar! My go to is the Blackened Chicken Burrito with a Blueberry Ginger Mojito!

The food and service was absolutely exceptional. The server kept checking in when appropriate and made sure we were well taken care of. The food was astounding. We had the guacamole with salsa, flautas, rice and refried beans and chicken and cheese empanadas and everything hit its mark and more. Also we loved our drinks, This is definitely the best Mexican place I’ve been to and you won’t regret going here. The main reason we went was because another business we were going to was closed, and a local recommended going here instead – soooo happy we listened! I highly recommend taking your business here if you’re in the area! Gotta give a shout out to our server Otoniel, he was so attentive and sweet!

We ordered a Valentine’s special appetizer, made with skirt steak and pickled onions that was sooo good. We also got an order of the birria tacos & both had the carne asada entree… along with a pitcher of their white strawberry sangria… it was not our first time there & certainly won’t be our last!

Great food and atmosphere. Took one star away due to the cheese on the nachos being cold and dry. I understand it’s a small restaurant but we sat at a table by the bar and we felt like the employees were hovering over us. There was one waitress that actually took a plate away that still had food on it without asking if we were done or iff she could take it away. I’m not sure if they’re trained to take away the plates as soon as they feel you’re done eating but at least let the customer finish their food or ask if we’re done.

This is the worst sofias taqueria! I’m Staten Island and probably the whole earth. I really hate it here! It’s very isolating nd a bit racist towards people. I’ve had multiple incidents where rules were changed for my party and I but not for another. My brother tried to give them another chance and was told another different rule then the last time. No happy hour and specialty list. Can only sit at the bar today for the happy hour but I’ve been able to sit at the table before x every time I go host and bartenders are on the phone. They pay no attention to you. Tried to get a drink they wait past when you try to get their attention then say oh happy hour is over. But going back to tables not asking for service! There was an issue about an item on their menu. When I asked for that item the server said that was the old menu, she then bought out the new menu with the same item on it. But instead of acknowledging faults she made it a big deal by calling people to ask. It was ridiculous. I won’t come back to this place ever! No wonder they stay empty! No business
