We come from the west side, we have been looking for a good Mexican food place and ended up all the way over here, just looking around and ending in Sofia’s restaurant.
Me and my wife were super happy with the food and very tasty.
My wife had a milanesa torta, and she was very pleased.
I had a stake ranchero, also very delicious.
They gave us a plate of sup de fideo, super delicious, some chips and salsa super delicious as well.
The server is very well attended and nice.
Overall the service is very good, the food is delicious, prices are very affordable and will definitely come back for more food .

I’m not sure why there is a recent bad review, but please take those with a grain of salt. Sofia’s has been our go-to for YEARS, and I am not even a San Elizario native. Sofia is always here and when you walk in, you’re greeted with a warm smile and welcome from her, her daughter Nancy, and the comforting home-town atmosphere. I always feel like I’m inside a huge family dining room. My go-to is the Plato Mexicana and it never disappoints. Their burritos, flautas, burgers, enchiladas, and breakfast items are also really good. These are just our normal orders but everything is phenomenal. Love that they also bring you chips and salsa with a cup of whatever caldo they have that day (menudo, Fideo, posole, etc.). Will forever be loyal customers here, and you won’t regret if you are too.

We had the menudo and it had a very unusual taste…. We also ordered the burrito of chorizo and egg. The burrito had eggshell in it. Very sad but the two stars are because the food is priced fairly low.

First time to this restaurant. Wait staff was pretty good. Took care of what we needed quickly, and food was out in about less than 10 minutes after ordering. Food was really good, and is filling for what you get served. Prices a are very reasonable and don’t break the bank if you have a family. Don’t really travel too much to this part of town, but will probably be coming back for more of this food.

Great food, great service, modern, clean restaurant! Family owned restaurant. Food cooked from scratch by Sofia and trusted cook. Daughter served me with a smile and attention to detail. Lots of regulars dropping in for pick-up or a quiet lunch. I had carne asada tacos which came with a baked potato! Chips and salsa legit. Complimentary soup while I waited. Extra large to go cup of Arnold Palmer for my long drive back to the west side. Sofia’s is on par with Peppe’s in Canutillo, which is high praise in my circles. If you are in the south valley, do not miss Sofias!

Menudo was good ordered a bisteak torta not great at all meat was hard and so were the fries hard and oily.Carne azada burrito was ok meat was good jst chuncks of tomatoes and fell apart. Over all probably wouldn’t come bk unless it was for menudo.Staff slow kept bringing in one plate at a time.
