We were traveling through the area and saw good reviews for this restaurant. I had the chilaquiles which was very good, I loved the sauce. Hubby said his juevos rancheros were ok. The staff were very friendly and took good care of us and other customers too.

Small Mexican sit down restaurant in Gila Bend. I stopped here for lunch on the way to Phoenix from San Diego. Fast excellent service, she checked on me several times. Good salsa and chips. I had the pork verde. It was very good, meatly and a nice, subtle spice. The beans and rice were excellent as well. All for a very reasonable price.

Note on my ratings:  2-3 stars, average quality, service and value, acceptable, but you could do better. 4 stars, above average quality, service and/or ambiance. 5 stars is reserved for exceptional quality, service and atmosphere.

Great food, great service.

Stopped in aroubd 1830 on our way back from to the Valley. Placed our order (2 combination plates, drinks and a tamale) and it was in front of us within 10 minutes of when we sat down.

Staff was friendly and attentive.

Food was delicious.

Restaurant was clean and well laid out.

We will definitely be stopping by here for meals on future trips.

We stay a weekend or two each year, just so we can visit Sofia’s.
The food is our absolute favorite! Their rice is delicious. Best chicken chimi I’ve ever had.

Our first time at this restaurant. The server and service were very good. The food tasted amazing, and came out piping hot. The portions were large. We will visit again!

I asked for a taco salad with no meat or sour cream and some sauteed bell peppers. I couldn’t even find a 1/4 worth of bell pepper. The food made me nauseous. The rice was undercooked, and the guac tasted old and horrible for $16. Very dissatisfied!! And I found sour cream under the cover!! What?

Let this review be the reason you pick this place over any other in Gila Bend.

Driving back and forth from AZ to San Diego we’re hungry, and we hate chains. We had a hard time picking been Humberto’s and Sofias but ultimately decided on Sofia’s even though they didn’t have a drive thru.

Worth it.

Ordered an asada burrito, California burrito, and sopapillas.

Burritos came wrapped in a heat blocking silver wrap, made them very easy to hold while driving / passenger

Main difference between the two burritos is the California had potatoes while the asada had beans. Every. Bite. I wanted to leave a review. Ingredients were evenly distributed and not shoved all on one side. Every bite had a bit of everything. Red salsa that came with it was DELICIOUS and the perfect ratio of spice. Everything was perfectly seasoned!!

We both devoured our burritos. Def get one!!

Sopapillas were fluffy, dusted with powdered sugar and came with a honey packet. Delicious and a perfect sweet snack after our burritos.

Def going to stop here again on our way to and from CA. You should too!

Really great food, generous portions, and reasonable prices. And the service was also really good. My kids enjoyed their meals and I enjoyed the Sonoran Enchiladas.
