The food was outstanding. The Caesar salad was fresh and perfectly balanced, the pasta was rich and flavorful, and the lobster and steak were cooked to perfection — tender, juicy, and full of flavor. Every dish came out beautifully presented and tasted even better than it looked.
Service was excellent throughout the evening — attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming without being overbearing. You can really tell they care about quality and consistency.
Sofia is a true gem in Englewood. Amazing food, great atmosphere, and excellent service. Highly recommended — we’ll definitely be back!

Our first time at Sofia’s and super happy for our time there. A couple of us made reservations for brunch. They have a prefix brunch menu. The food was great, drinks were great! We loved the pomegranate mimosa! Service was good!! Overall a great time!

Great steakhouse in englewood cliffs – perfect for date night or a nice dinner out with friends. Great vibes – both indoor and outdoor dining available with comfortable seats. Service was good and fast. And food was great too – we split the porterhouse and two sides (fries and brussel sprouts) between the two of us. All were delicious and steak was a perfect medium. Very popular choice as a couple tables around us all got the same thing.

We stumbled into Sofia last minute after my friend’s Lyft driver accidentally dropped her in Jersey. Even though the kitchen was closing, the hostess told us to come through—and I’m glad we did.
The vibe was perfect: sleek lighting, greenery, and classy cars parked outside. Bread and water came right away, and the staff made it clear we needed to order quick but never rushed us.
Drinks: Two lemon drops and two sidecars—smooth, balanced, and exactly what we needed. Big shoutout to bartenders Max, Austin, and Valentina for keeping the drinks strong but refined.
Food: I had the New York strip. It came out medium, but GM Karem personally took it back and brought it out medium-well with no hassle. Juicy, tender, and seasoned right—it’s the kind of steak I’d go back for. The asparagus was also spot on. The steak sauce wasn’t my favorite, but that’s just personal taste. My friend had salmon (she loved it) and mashed potatoes (a little bland).
Only critique: some off-putting behavior from our server, but it didn’t overshadow the rest of the experience.
We closed the night with green tea shots and left on a high note. Last-minute plans turned into a great night thanks to the team—especially GM Karem, bartenders Max, Austin & Valentina, and our wonderful hostess Vienna who set the tone from the moment we walked in.

Chicken Palliard
I was captivated by the narrow hallway with a cigar and wine storage area leading to a secluded lounge.
While most places are reluctant to even serve a glass of tap water, I appreciate that they provide a full size bottle for the table. The server and bus boy were both attentive keeping my water glass filled.
The complimentary bread and breadsticks with the olive oil and marinara sauce was phenomenal.
Chicken Palliard:
Sadly, I did not pick the best entrée. The chicken definitely needed a fair sprinkle of salt and peppers as I feel it lacked flavor.
Although the onions were sautéed, they were not caramelized enough according to my standard.
I was definitely impressed with the ambiance and service, so I will definitely consider returning for a future visit. I will be sure to avoid the Palliard!

My wife and I came for a spontaneous dinner and we had a great time. The pasta is fresh and the drinks were made with care. My wife had the spicy lobster rigatoni and I had the rigatoni al cacio e pepe. Before our main courses we started with a dozen oysters; half East coast and half West coast which were perfect.
The vibe is elegant and modern and we will definitely be returning!

I ordered steak fritti. It was very good. The only thing is that they don’t have is other side dish than potatoes. As a guy who avoid carbohydrates, I recommend the restaurant to add other side dish then potatoes. Like grilled vegetables, or salad.
