We came to Smithfield for a funeral, and found this wonderful restaurant! I had the mahi-mahi with fresh green beans and fresh broccoli. Both delicious vegetables and the fish was very fresh and yummy! As you see from the empty plate, we enjoyed the food. My husband had the Cuban. We definitely would go back. Staff were really nice and friendly. The music was too loud so that made the atmosphere less appealing. Otherwise a great place!

We stopped here for lunch on our way back to Greenville SC, thanks to the strong reviews on Google. Good decision as the food was fantastic, and they had free WiFi so we could get some work done. The grilled cheese with potato salad was delicious. And my wife enjoyed her bacon burger. They’ve got plenty of seating inside, including a bar area, plus a few tables outside.

This was our (wife and I) first time trying this place out, and I am so glad we did! The atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable. It’s not a huge place inside, but it is big with personality. We were both wanting a good burger for dinner and we accomplished that mission here. We got the fried pickles for an appetizer and they were lightly fried and very appetizing. We both got the desired burger from the menu and neither of us were disappointed with the results. They managed to cook my burger to a perfect medium well and my wife’s to full death (well done). We found the staff to be very nice, down to earth and attentive. We will absolutely make a return visit in the near future!

We ordered 2 Reuben’s, nacho appetizer, and shrimp and grits. The nacho appetizer had a nice presentation, but skimpy on pork. Reuben’s were average. I adore Reuben’s and look forward to being served a sandwich stacked with a thick layer corned beef, sauerkraut and Swiss cheese. These had minimal meat and kraut. I adore shrimp and grits. My order came and the presentation was amazing. No reason to take a picture before diving in, because looks wise, I was certain this would be a winner. My grits were undercooked. Needed approximately two more minutes cooking. I would understand if they were busy and my grits got undercooked due to a rush, but I noted two of their parties during our dining. I believe they were cooked with water. Finishing them with cream would have helped to richen, but more importantly give the creamy texture that is so needed. The shrimp was bettered and had a frozen taste. This dish traditionally does not have a battered/fried shrimp and in my opinion, that was an inexpensive and easier option to offer this dish prepared this way. The waitress took the $15 charge off my bill after I gave input that they were undercooked and needed cream in the preparation. This was an appreciated gesture. But, I asked her to add it back on, as my desire was for them to take the input and apply it, not comp. me my entree. for

It was good and not that expensive! We shared a smoked trio of chicken quarters, ribs and pulled pork. We also had collards and mac n cheese. I was disappointed that no bread was served with the meal. Our waiter Justin recovered well with suggesting a fresh pretzel. It was fantastic. Very light, very fresh.

We stopped by SoDoSoPa Sunday afternoon for an early dinner. We were seated right away and ordered a couple appetizers. They have some unique stuff so we had to order the hog cakes and southern fried rangoon. The hog cakes had a odd texture but the rangoons we delicious. The mustard sauce was a perfect balance with the fried shell. Our meal was average bbq and you only get 4 ribs in the one meat plate but they had good flavor. One thing about the service was our server would disappear for long stretches of time. I think she had another section on the other side of the restaurant.

We ended up at SoDoSoPa by accident. The restaurant we were looking for shut down permanently, but SoDoSoPa was a great surprise right in Smithfield downtown.
The restaurant was almost empty, and this gave us a chance to talk in detail with our server/waitress.
The restaurant is spacious and well light and has a nice bar.
This is a chicken/beef/ribs restaurant. Food was served quickly, and in large quantity. I ordered ribs and pulled pork barbecue along coleslaw and greenbeans. The plate included fresh French fries. My wife ordered a hamburger loaded with “all the fixings,” as locals say.
We really enjoyed this restaurant and we’ll pay it a second visit soon.

This restaurant has by far passed my expectations. The prices for the meals were well within reason and the food was by far amazing. I ordered fried pickles and they make them from scratch in house and the best I’ve ever had. The waitress was on point. Very educated of the menu. She had red curly hair but forgot her name. I would eat here everyday if I could. It was absolutely amazing. The Reuben is like no other ive ever had. By far the best. A must try!!! The bbq nachos with brisket was amazing. The brisket just melted in your mouth. The fries were perfectly season and to die for. Nothing was too greasy. The slaw was amazing. I also got the Cuban which was amazing.

Place looks very upscale as are the prices. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I couldn’t find anything on the menu that wasn’t smoked or barbecue. So I ordered from the kids menu. Grilled cheese and tater tots. Tots tasted like pizza. Can’t figure that out and they were too busy to ask. I’m Irish, if I leave any kind of potatoes on the plate, there’s something wrong lol. Beth had wings. They were dry and tasteless. Only real upside was we had lots left over to bring home to the pups.

Everything was outstanding! The ribs were tender and tasty. The Cuban sandwich was great. The collard greens have no equal in any restaurant I’ve been to. The brew selection and bar service were on point, and the local patrons were nearly as friendly as the staff. Great experience!
