Cozy burger shop that’s been right there for decades, part of the town history. The food was great! Service was good. Atmosphere was great. Place was clean. Bathroom was the only issue.

I got a Carolina dog which was decent but I thought red onions instead of white was a little strange and I did have to pull a piece of onion skin out but over-all a decent dog. My friend got a chili cheese dog and he said it was pretty good. We both wished the cottage fries were more well done but we were glad we tried them. The prices seemed a little steep for hot dogs but that could be location based. Overall I wouldn’t mind eating here again. The servers were nice enough and the atmosphere is very cute and retro!

Charming old neighborhood soda shop offering hand made sodas, good food and a interesting atmosphere. Great place t to go for a breakfast or lunch. While we visited in the wintertime, they do have outdoor seating. Staff is great and willing to explain the menus and the soda options. Seating is tight, but reasonable. Parties of more than 4 will have seating issues. They do take credit cards, debit cards, and real cash, but no tap type payments like Apple Pay.

Good breakfast and ice cream options for cheap. However none of the staff seem to like working there; I really want to support a local business but their staff are just miserable and in turn aren’t terribly friendly to me. Plus, it’s a longer than average wait for food. Four breakfast sandwiches took 20 minutes to make. 20 MINUTES. They weren’t even fancy breakfast sandwiches–though at $3 the price is right.
Milkshakes are dynamite. Apple crisp is hit or miss. Any type of sandwiches are fine, cheaply priced.
Ambiance is fine. Unfortunately they seem to always be playing 70’s music so it’s a bit dull and doesn’t really liven the mood.
I’ll keep going back for the convenient location and cheap cost for a meal. However I’d be willing to pay 10% more for a waitstaff that actually smiled.

A quaint little soda shop that takes you back in time. Even prices were decent. The food was as you’d expect – solid American fare. My only disappointment is I ordered an old fashioned phosphate and they served it in a foam cup instead of a glass. Still tasted awesome.

Great family run restaurant that let’s you discover thr history of Davidson town. We had a great lunch at such an affordable price, definitely coming back! Also the restaurant is right across the Davidson college, and I highly recommend to grab a bite before you enjoy a little walk on campus.
