If I could give this establishment 10 stars, I absolutely would. We dined in for their monthly dinner, and both the food and service were phenomenal. Our glasses stayed as full as the smiles at Socos, and every detail felt thoughtfully executed.
The pork osso buco melted with each forkful, every bite rich and packed with flavor. You can leave the salt and pepper shakers alone here—everything is perfectly seasoned. The experience felt like fine dining meeting your favorite home-cooked meal: elevated, yet comforting.
Our dinner was so impressive that we came back for breakfast—and it did not disappoint. It’s rare to go out for breakfast and truly taste the quality in every component, but the home fries and pancakes absolutely shined. And the biscuits? Fluffy, buttery perfection. They were so moist and flavorful that no sausage gravy was needed (though I’m sure it’s delicious, too).
This may be the best breakfast spot I’ve visited in all my travels through NY, VT, NH, and CO. Socos is absolutely where you’ll want to be!

Socos House of Eats is a true Southern treasure! I tried The Trooper, the Filet Breakfast special and The Egg Bowl—and every bite was better than the last. The filet was tender and perfectly seasoned, the egg bowl was hearty and flavorful, and The Trooper hit that perfect comfort food spot. On top of the amazing food, the service was warm, welcoming, and made you feel like family. Easily one of the best breakfast spots in Homosassa. Don’t miss it!

To start, the clam chowder was excellent.
2nd when asked if they were serving breakfast, the young man asked the cook, he said stopped an hour previously. Then ordered sweet potato fries, but, which came with fries. Both tasted like the oil was bad and very greasy. The waitress said they were fine, so i guess i don’t know bad food.
Then as we were eating a couple came in and sat down, asked for breakfast, the young man told them what he told us, breakfast ended. Then after some conversation which I didn’t hear, they asked the cook again, and he said he would do breakfast for them. When asked our waitress she said they threatened to leave if they couldn’t have breakfast, so they gave them breakfast. She never even talked to them. Guess they need the business because we were the only 2 tables at lunchtime occupied. And what we got took quite awhile, even though we were the only ones there at time we ordered.
Will not go back even though the chowder was good.

It was our first visit to Socos & we were pleasantly surprised. It is a small restaurant, but the food and service were excellent. We had a group of four & one of our party had to send their blackened grouper sandwich back. It was so chewy that it couldn’t even be cut with a knife. The waitress was so nice and brought out another grouper sandwich that was perfect and deducted it from our bill. Those kind of things happen occasionally & because of the way it was handled and the rest of our food being way above average, we definitely will be returning. The desserts are phenomenal & we heard the chef does “specials” on Fridays, but it is reservations only. It’s definitely worth trying this restaurant, you will never meet a nicer family who run the restaurant. Highly recommend.

I just had lunch with my son and I had to shake the hand of the chef who prepared the food. Hands down best place to eat in citrus county. Their menu offers a variety of tasty home made farm fresh recipes. Cooked to perfection and plated with love. Some thing different and delicious. If you haven’t been you must try.

This place has it all. It’s a quaint clean restaurant, the service is quick & efficient, the owners are hard-working & friendly, and the food is delicious & reasonably priced. We’ve been to Socos House of Eats three times since they recently opened and each time the food has been absolutely perfect and with nice size portions. The salad is fresh and the meat and chicken is prepared as requested and oh so flavorful. A recent lunch we both ordered the Philly Cheese Steak sandwich made with shaved rib eye and it’s hands-down the best steak sandwich you’ll find in Citrus County and the surrounding area! Highly recommend you give this new gem a try!!
