A fun spot with a great bartender and just as amazing food.
.
Berry Smash Cocktail by Toya – the girl can make a drink!!! I was intrigued when she started cuddling blueberries, and had to try for myself after seeing her pour it into the glass.
.
Soco Double Smash Burger – it had grilled onions, lettuce, pickle slices, and a house sauce. It didn’t need anything else. It was quality and juicy. Definitely recommend.
.
Fries – crispy, and I ended up eating half with no condiments; They were so tasty.
.
Soup of the Day – Broccoli Cheddar – delicious, creamy, a good amount of broccoli. It felt homemade and special and we loved it.
.
Chicken Dumplings – felt like sitting at grandma’s kitchen table eating a big bowl of comfort.
.
Overall – 10/10 would recommend and will be back!
I only have a picture of the drink Toya made because, well, everything was too good looking to pause for photos and I had to stop myself from drinking more before taking at least one!

I dont normally take time to write negative reviews it’s hard enough out there BUT I and I’ll add I’m a bit hangry right this minute. I ordered chicken pot pie with sides of fresh green beans and squash casserole. The pot pie dough was virtually raw inside and pretty thick to boot. Pun. And honestly although it tasted of chicken. They must shred it in a hopper. I literally found about 3 tiny forkable pieces of chicken. Otherwise there around 8 small pieces of carrots. A couple of odd kernels of corn. Truly unappealing in every way. The beans while fresh were slightly burnt and acrid. The casserole again suffered from the appearance of being prechewed. Again not appetizers. Makes it worse that I drove into town and back round-trip of 40 minutes. Specifically ordered the casserole and pot pie to travel home. Pics to follow. Like the people. And the location. Not what I was given this evening. One word unfortunately and it’s gross. Threw it all out. Now making a hotdog with some chips. Not a revenge review just what happened to me.

Over priced. Me and my mom ended up splitting the combination platter with flounder and oysters. The waitress said it came with two large pieces of flounder so we went the sharing route since it was lunch. The waitress also said it came with two sides so my mom ordered collards and I ordered squash casserole. When the food came out we had one piece of flounder and like 8 oysters. This meal was $38! The collards were sweet and the casserole was okay. When we ordered I told the waitress we usually ate flounder at River room and she assured me this was BETTER. Sadly no. By far was it better. We didn’t even ask for the second piece of fish because the taste wasn’t that good anyways, a lot of breaded and no fish but when the bill came we saw a charge for $2 extra per side??? She couldn’t explain why so she offered a $2 gift card to cover one of the charges but we told her no thank you because we wouldn’t be back. She was super nice.

The grouper tacos were so good !! The crab cakes were also good. The fried pickles were good, just wish they didn’t have the thick pickle skin around the edges. Overall tho, 10/10 experience. Definitely will return.

We walked up and down front street and finally settled upon this place for dinner and I’m so glad we did because the food was delicious and the service was friendly. If you can’t make up your mind on where to eat, pick this place! It was fantastic.

I wanted to like this place. We went for Sunday brunch. The lady who greeted us was very friendly and it’s seemed off to a good start. She gave out a great coloring book for our nephew. Then our grumpy waiter appeared. He never smiled once, forgot our cream and sugars with four coffee orders and also forgot to refill. The grits were watery and lumpy and I know my grits. I expected better. But my crab cake was pretty good, with plenty of crabmeat. Overall it was just average. Overpriced for what you get. My portion was small considering the grits were not edible.
The goat cheese omelette got a good review, but the bowls got mixed reviews .The collards were a strange addition to a breakfast bowl. Maybe it’s better at dinner…but I think I’ll skip it. Many better options on Front St. with better service.

Our food was excellent! Soco Grille sources local food, and you can’t get seafood more local than from Stormy Seas that’s just a few blocks away. We always get our fresh seafood from Stormy Seas when we are in Georgetown. The waitresses were terrific and the atmosphere was great.

I don’t leave many reviews, but had to with this one.
We ordered pickup and got parmesan seafood dip with chips and I am not sure why they decided to use flour tortillas over corn tortillas because fried flour tortillas have a not great texture/taste. The seafood dip i think is pretty good, my boyfriend disagrees.
Then we ordered county fried steak WITH GRAVY, and got NO GRAVY. I had to cook my own gravy for it. The collards are not fully cooked, the “butter” beans are lima beans. The steaks are definitely overcooked, tough, and taste like over fried flour. The macaroni and cheese is dry and hard. The mashed potatoes are great! Other than the mashed potatoes nothing had any flavor.
We did call and the situation did get rectified but honestly not sure we will return. I’ve been wanting to try this place for a while now and we were very disappointed.

Excellent! Great place for a delicious lunch. We stopped today on a beautiful Friday to try out a new place and were very happy with our meal. My husband’s chicken fried steak was delicious and my shrimp tacos were perfectly seasoned and prepared but the seafood chowder was the highlight! One of the best I have ever eaten, creamy with plenty of crabs and shrimp, perfectly spiced! Highly recommend giving this place a try!
