Nice location. Great menu. Outside dining.
So-so service.
I had the Grilled Steak Salad: the steak was tough, the rest of the salad was quite unremarkable, and definitely not worth $15.

And you charge $3 for a second raspberry ice tea? C’mon.

We had 7:00 reservations. Had to wait to even be greeted. Than wait some more for bread. Than wait some more for the food to come. Chicken was over cooked. The fish was mushy. Considering the place was almost empty I was very surprised. Than we asked for bread and 10 min later our waiter came back and said they burnt it. Ok, now time for the key lime pie. Oh no, they are out of key lime pie. Really….
As we left, the front was empty. No thanks. No nothing. Kinda like don’t let the door hit you in the butt on your way out. In desperate need of some new management.
Prices are fine and waiter nice, but the rest was awful. Will make the drive to Bone Fish.

Good place to kick back and have a beer and some apps after golfing. Bar staff does good but the restaurant staff needs some fine tuning. Especially with the dinner menu prices. Felt like a Bellevue dinner price with a Denny’s waitstaff.

You walk into thsi place and it is obvious somebody spent some money here. The place is laid out well and the furnishings are nice. There is even a view onto a lake even if it is a man-made lake that more resembles a sewage pond with its lack ot trees surrounding the water. None of that matters though because what you come to a restaurant for is food, atmosphere, and service. Unfortuanely, this place fails on at least two of those counts and you are left with the feeling that the staff doesn’t really give a damn. Too bad.

We have eaten there several times and the food has always been great but last night.
We had fish and chips and the fish was so greasy it was dripping off. I tried using a napkin I had to soak up some of it and the napkin was soaked through. The tarter sauce had no flavor. I use barbeque sauce to dip my fries in and what they brought me was not barbeque sauce. It did have a faint barbeque flavor but not much of anything else. We also got some marinated shrimp skewers and they were under cooked and had no flavor. I will say the cocktail sauce was realy good. Maybe they got a different cook or something but whatever it is the food sucked.

Ordered Mahi Mahi and it was slimy and under cooked, tasted gross and when I went to return it and the server came back out and reported the cook said it was fine. Tasted it and it was far from fine. They agreed to bring out another that was actually cooked and not spoiled, imagine that. Don’t like the resistance they put up, nor should that be acceptable to be served on the first place!

Sockeye’s is the best restaurant in Monroe. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Greg is also the best bartender in the area.
