Social House was not the first to introduce Nikkei cuisine to the island, but from the moment it opened, it redefined how that story was told. Guided by generations of experience, second-generation restaurateurs carried forward the wisdom and craft passed down through their family. With Nikkei cuisine, (where Japan meets Peru) gaining worldwide recognition, the dream was to elevate its standard for the Bahamian community and discerning travelers alike. Where a carefully crafted restaurant would provide a place where precision met passion, where yellowtail and ají amarillo could coexist beautifully, and where each plate told a story of heritage and innovation. Every plate at Social House reflects thoughtful craftsmanship: hamachi ceviche e

I forgot my cell which they found and locked up immediately until I could return to pick it up. The hostess (I forgot her name), she was so lovely as was everyone. Thank you all for a wonderful evening, it just added to our vacation.
Food: Excellent
Service: Excellent
Atmosphere: Excellent
Cost: $$
What we had: Gyoza (appetizer), Lamb Rack, Chicken fried rice, Chicken Bao, 1 water & 2 non alcoholic beverages and Mochi ice cream dessert.
Total cost including taxes, gratuity: $172 this is very reasonable. We add a cash tip as well. Bring it to about $220
No cons to speak of. This was our second time there.
Parking is hard to find, but we were offered valet at the price of “whatever you want” to pay, I thought that was nice.
We had the ginger lemonade, which was refreshing, along with two styles of edamame—regular and spicy. The spicy edamame was especially good with a nice touch of sweetness. We also enjoyed the seafood udon noodles, steak salad, teriyaki chicken, and fried rice, all of which were flavorful and well prepared.
The only downside was that you have to purchase bottled water rather than having complimentary water. Overall, it was a great dining experience with excellent food and a stylish setting.
The good: The miso cod was outstanding, the pork bao buns are worth it, the tostadas are great and the seared salmon miso roll was the only enjoyable roll. I would order it all again.
The bad-ish: Service was okay, they were busy, they did their best. But when issues occurred they were not overly accommodating or responsive.
The ugly: The lobster truffle roll had hard inedible rice. When we let them know they replaced it with a different roll of lesser value but kept the more expensive lobster roll on the bill. When this was addressed with the waiter he did not offer to fix it. At that point we were so done we didn’t ask for a manager.
The spicy tuna crunch was awful, had no tuna, no avocado and had empty fillings. (Picture provided). When this was addressed with the waiter he wasn’t exactly responsive.
I hope to come back and change my review as the initial items we had were truly worth ordering again. But tonight was otherwise disappointing.
The service was great, nothing to complain about.
If you want to eat sushi or chicken, you definitely have to pay them a visit. We had dinner 3 times and everything we tried was just great and worth every penny.
Thank you for making our stay at the Bahamas so much better!
But you go for the food. Everything on point. Everything delicious from start to finish. From the maki rolls (tuna crunch ommgggg) to pork buns, to the outstanding chocolate dessert. And after we were all stuffed, the bill came in under $230. For four people with drinks. Don’t think, go.
