Absolutely loved this place! The food was authentic, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Every dish had the perfect balance of spices, and the freshness really stood out.

We had chole bhature and vada pav, and both were absolutely delicious! The chole bhature was perfectly spiced with fluffy, fresh bhature, and the vada pav had that authentic street-food flavor with a crispy vada and soft pav. Everything tasted fresh and homemade.

Great service, friendly staff, and a cozy atmosphere. If you are craving authentic Indian comfort food, this place is definitely worth visiting. Will be coming back again!

Residing within a Comfort Inn and next to a prominent golden arches, Social Aroma is the definition of a hidden gem. The menu presents a variety of Indian classics with a sprinkle of Asian dishes and several clay oven pizzas. The food is served efficiently and fresh, the sounds of cookery from the kitchen jiving along with the ambient Indo-pop music through the speakers.

The dishes are plentiful and flavorsome! Our Saag Paneer was served pipping hot with plentiful paneer and vibrant green. Beautifully cooked down spinach and mustard greens. At spice level of “mild”, the spice was palpable and warming. The Desi Chicken Curry is dark, fragrant and generous in pieces of chicken thigh, juicy and tender. The spice level of “mild” brings a robust heat to the game but goes down beautifully with the basmati rice and the roti. Seeing me sweat, the staff kindly brought over some yogurt and it was just the thing to add another taste dimension to the curry!

Definitely a restaurant to look forward to and a break from the ordinary when staying at one of the many hotel properties in the area!

Best Indian food around! I was blown away by the taste and quality! Everything is made from scratch so just a heads up it takes a little longer to get your meal but totally worth it! I can’t wait to go back! We had the samosas butter chicken garlic naan and tikki chicken pizza all were a 10/10!!!!!!

First visit and we were very impressed. The service was fantastic and the food, especially the modern twist on Indian food, was incredible. The flavors are very fresh, and the atmosphere was great. I’m really looking forward to going back and trying more dishes. This time, we had pizzas, which is very unique at an Indian restaurant. It was like Indian gourmet food on top of robust naan bread. Really fun!

ACTUAL RATING: 4.5 (rounded up)
Checking in to the Comfort Inn, we noticed that there was an Indian restaurant attached to the hotel. Though unusual, we felt like we had to give it a go. So glad we did! The food was excellent. We ordered some veggie Samosas to start, alond with some Desi Gobi Manchuian (spicy crispy cauliflower), Lamb Tikka Masala, Garlic Naan, and plain rice. Everything was full of exotic flavor and cooked to perfection. My only complaints – and the reason for the small deduction – was that the Tikka Masala could have had a few more chunks of meat, and that they didn’t have any Mango Chutney. I have never been to an Indian restaurant that didn’t offer it. But, I will know to bring my own the next time we are in Irvine … because we will definitely be going back.

Every dish feels like a celebration of traditional Indian cuisine, crafted with care and passion. Ordered some takeout from this slightly hard to find location. Iconic samosa chaat was pretty good, soya cheap less so. Good tandoori roti. None were good value for money. Friendly service though – shout-out to Virendra (sp?) for a good experience while waiting.

I decided to pick up my order yesterday in person instead of using a delivery app, but it was a disappointing experience. Despite waiting 40 minutes for just three items, the quality was poor. The kathi roll was soggy and tasted like it had been reheated, while the Hakka noodles were incredibly oily and undercooked. It felt like the kitchen rushed my order just to get it over with after I followed up several times. I won’t be returning.
