Stuart and the attentive staff here at social affair are absolutely amazing! Never fails to make me feel at home and able to suggest the perfect cocktail for any occasion. I’ve been a customer since these guys have opened and have nothing but positive reviews. Thank you for always being attentive, on point, and genuinely the Friendly-est cocktail lounge I’ve experienced! Love you guys! Can’t wait to come back!

5 stars for the drinks and service. The people working here are attentive and gave some good recommendations for me and my friends. Great place to enjoy a craft cocktail after work or on a date night.

I very rarely leave negative reviews, especially for a local small business we support. That’s why this experience was particularly disappointing.
We called ahead late on a Friday night to confirm hours and were told Social Affairs was open until midnight, with last orders at 11:15. It was a rare special occasion so we rushed over and arrived at 11:13, but were turned away and not served. We were a small, sober group of three and politely asked for a single drink before close. There were other people in there a drink wouldn’t have pushed them over their midnight close. And there was no need for the tone or the attitude as they turned us away.
We completely understand closing times and the need to hold boundaries. It just felt frustrating given we had confirmed ahead and made the effort to get there in time, especially as regular customers.
Like many locals, we’re happy to overlook the occasional miss or higher prices in order to support a neighborhood business we want to see succeed. Unfortunately, this experience will leave a very bad taste for us.
We hope this was an off night, and that you’ll continue to take care of your local regulars who support and love Social Affairs.

The meatballs were awful,; previously frozen and barely cooked. On a Saturday night next to The Lot in San Ramon at 7:30 the place was dead; lots of competition in this space you need to do better, The Old Fashion was good but the drink was shortt. A great place for a featured restaurant on Gordon Ramsey Kitchen Nightmares.

My new favorite place at the city center. Super chill and laid back. The wine selection is incredible and the food is amazing. Highly recommend for a date night.

Came to this place for a drink and a snack. But I stayed for more. They have a good selection of drinks, wines and beers. I like beer and they had beers that I had never had seen before. If you don’t see what you want, likely the bartender will be able to make you something special. They have several different plates that can be shared. I started with the greens with peaches, it tasted as good as it looked. I followed that with smoked salmon on naan bread. The salmon was very fresh and vert tasty.

This place has so much potential but it was very overpriced and poor quality. You can see the comparison between the two old fashioned that I got from the bar and movie theater. The flatbread wasn’t anything special for $26, you’d try think there would be high quality ingredients. I really wanted to like this place because the staff was so friendly.

Not impressed with the wine selection…was hoping for more local wines since they have access to some of the best of wineries in California/USA (Napa, Sonoma, Livermore, Amador Valley etc.)! The charcuterie and cheese platters are a little steep considering they do use local vendors! Rainer, our host/server, was SUPERB and very hospitable! Hope their wine list becomes for substantial going forward!
