This was my first time purchasing an açaí bowl from Sobol. While reviewing the menu and options, I discovered that their granola contains cinnamon, which I am allergic to. The two young women at the counter were exceptional… they were very accommodating of my allergy and offered to substitute almonds or leave the granola out entirely. Our bowls were beautifully assembled, and everything initially seemed perfect. Unfortunately, once we started eating, the bowls had a very foul taste. We were able to identify the blueberries as the issue, as some were rotten. This was unacceptable, and very disappointing.

Good place for acai. I loved how the double layer granola complimented the blended acai and fruit topping.
The waffles are also really flavorful and warm.

I have always enjoyed Sobol and typically visit the Planview and Merrick locations, but this was my first time at this particular spot. When I ordered, I was informed that they couldn’t accept a $100 bill. It wasn’t like I was trying to make a small purchase of $10, and they claimed they didn’t have change in the register. Since it was my first visit to this location, their rudeness was surprising and unprofessional, both from the staff present and from whoever they spoke to on the phone, who I assume was a manager. I would have managed the situation quite differently. I even asked if I could order something else , but they declined. I would have gone next door for change, but their unkindness made me rethink it. So, I left and drove to Plainview, where they actually prioritize their customers, unlike this place.

Came here the night before Christmas Eve because the East Meadow one had closed early. The two people working were lovely and made honestly one of the best bowls I’ve ever had! The blend was great and there were plenty of toppings! Very happy with my experience.
