Honestly, this was one of the most authentic Korean food experiences I’ve had outside of Korea. I ordered the mixed tofu soup, and it was absolutely delicious — rich, flavorful, and very satisfying.
Just be careful when choosing the spice level. I ordered medium, and it was actually quite spicy. It was still enjoyable, but definitely spicier than expected, so keep that in mind if you’re sensitive to heat.
The meal also came with generous side dishes, which made the experience even better. Overall, it felt truly authentic, and I would definitely recommend it.

Omg I can’t even express how fire the tofu soup is. It’s very authentic — the right hint and combination of tanginess and spiciness, and the tofu comes in big chunks, not those small tofu squares. Even though I got takeout and didn’t expect much, it completely passed my expectations. It was still so good and definitely worth it.

Sokongdong is such a great spot for Korean food! Everything we tried tasted really good, and the prices are honestly amazing. We ordered a full table of dishes and the total was just a little over a hundred dollars — definitely great value. The service was also very friendly and attentive, which made the whole experience even better. The steak was especially delicious, and the other dishes were also solid. Overall, a wonderful meal for a great price!

One of the original soft tofu places in Fort Lee. Good place to eat. Service was good. Prices are decent. Portions were good. Tofu was good and soft, tasty. Small parking lot.

I ordered a spicy pork lunch box for delivery, but when I started eating it, the meat felt unusually soft. When I checked more closely, I realized the pork was undercooked, as shown in the photo. I was unable to eat it and requested a refund, but my request was denied.
This is a serious health concern and could have put me at risk. Please make sure to check that the meat is fully cooked before eating when ordering from this restaurant.

Good place to get a quick bite of authentic Korean food. Tofu is super tender and the soup is very flavorful. You can choose the spicy level, and medium seems to work well for me. The soups come with rice. Tofu soup is boiling hot and definitely take your time to savor it (don’t rush). There is a small free parking lot upfront, although it’s probably hard to find a spot during peak hours.

As soon as we walked in we were greeted and sat right away. The service was quick and attentive. The food was very delicious and reasonably priced. It was very nutritious as Korean food usually is. Definitely going to be my go to spot.

I recently visited So Kong Dong in Fort Lee and had a good experience. Their tofu soup is absolutely delicious—rich, flavorful, and comforting. I also tried the spicy beef soup, which had just the right amount of heat and paired perfectly with the rice. Both dishes were satisfying and felt like true Korean comfort food. The flavors are authentic, the portions are generous, and the overall dining experience left me wanting to come back again. Definitely a spot worth revisiting if you’re craving hearty Korean soups!

The mild tofu stew is slightly too spicy for me but the flavors were great! The side dishes and the pancake we got were very tasty too!

I recently visited So Kong Dong and was thoroughly impressed with the experience. The ambiance is nice, providing a comfortable backdrop for a delightful meal. The food was absolutely delicious, and I couldn’t stop raving about our order: Pork Sundubu, Korean Cold Noodles, Fried Tofu with Sweet and Sour Sauce, Kimchi, and Kimchi Cucumbers.
The Pork Sundubu stood out with its wonderfully umami fermented flavor. It was spicy, and the pork was distinctly flavorful. The broth was a bit thicker, which I really enjoyed, making it a very delicious bowl of tofu soup.
The Korean Cold Noodles were also a highlight. The cold noodles had a great tang, and the broth came out frozen and icy, adding an interesting texture. The fruity flavor was a pleasant surprise, and the noodles were super chewy with plenty of pickles, making it incredibly refreshing.
The Fried Tofu with Sweet and Sour Sauce was another winner. The outer fried area of the tofu had a great potato starch chew, and the sweet and sour sauce with the vegetables stuck to it perfectly, coating it with amazing flavor. You could really taste the veggies too.
Their kimchi was amazing, with perfect seasoning and fresh cabbage that was sweet, peppery hot, and full of umami. The kimchi cucumbers were thickly sliced, sour, umami, and spicy—simply delicious.
Overall, So Kong Dong offers great Korean food, and it’s one of the best I’ve been to. All their food and flavors were spot on. Highly recommend it!
