I purchased a jr cheeseburger and seasoned fries. The burger itself was very tasty, the secret sauce I think honestly was thousand Islands and maybe another type of sauce mixed with it. But it definitely tasted like a thousand Islands dressing. The lettuce, tomatoes, and onions were very fresh. Next time, I may ask for the onions to be grilled rather than for them to be raw, but that is just my own preference. The bun itself was very nice and fluffy and did not taste like it was days old bread. The burger itself was pretty big, even though it was their Jr cheese burger. I definitely would not be able to finish a regular sized burger, but I don’t eat quite a lot.
The seasoned fries were seasoned very nicely and most of them had a good crunch, but I continued to bite into some that were a bit stale. Maybe they had been sitting around for a bit. From 1 to 5, I would give them a 4. Maybe next time I can order them fresh, that would probably make them a 5. I did ask for ketchup and ranch. The ketchup was your average type of ketchup, no comments. The ranch dressing itself had a more watery consistency. I tend to enjoy ranch dressing that is thicker. But that is my own preference, if you prefer a more watery ranch, this one is still tasty. They do charge for extra sauce, but they did give me ketchup and ranch for free, so I’m not entirely sure how that works. Their yellow peppers come pre-wrapped, which I thought was very convenient and sanitary.
I did not try their beverages, but they do have sodas, water and some sort of juices. They do have aguas frescas, but they are not actually aguas frescas. They are those aguas frescas that are premade (not what I consider an actual agua fresca).
I don’t believe the location has a public restroom, but I did not inquire about that.
The dine-in space is very small, and on a warm day it can get a little stuffy inside. I ended up sitting outside and it felt fresher outside, keep in mind it is summer at the time I am submitting this review. There are not too many tables inside, so if you are thinking of purchasing food for your family, I would suggest eating outside at the benches, or taking the food home.
There are some tables outside of the restaurant. I would suggest to take some napkins and wipe them down. I did wipe down the chair I was planning to sit on and it was not dirty. Which leads me to believe that they probably clean them on a daily basis when putting them out. I did not test the benches for cleanliness, but I would probably ear on the side of caution and take some extra napkins to wipe them down.
Overall, I had a good experience. Will definitely return to try the rest of their menu.
We ordered the Sunrise and Hawaii 5.0 burgers along with fries. Our kids split a hotdog and got some cookies and cream ice cream as well.
Everything was delicious! The burgers were full of high quality toppings and tasted great. The fries were crispy and paired perfectly with the sauces (the “so cal” is very good).
The staff were friendly and made us feel very welcome – even offering tips on how to save and making recommendations.
I would highly recommend eating here!
Definitely a level up burger place. Not a large dining area but the decor was a cool road nostalgia theme.
Not a cheap joint but a spot I’d visit again in the area when I want that quality burger.

This was my first visit in search of chili dogs. It’s on the border with Monterey Park in a small strip mall with some parking in the back. There is some indoor seating and most is outside. I ordered and paid at the counter, then waited for my number to be called.
The chili dogs were assembled with bun, mustard, lightly seared flat top foot long dog, chili and chopped onions in that order. The dog was on the salty side and complemented the flavorful meaty chili with hints of chili powder and cumin.
The service staff was very friendly and helpful. This was one of the better chili dogs I’ve had and So-Cal is definitely repeatable.
