This charming restaurant is inviting, with a menu full of comfort food. I had the coconut shrimp platter with french fries and a cup of claim chowder. The shrimp was crispy, and the soup was tasty and hot. The fries were crisp on the outside and soft on the inside, a good combination.
The All-American cheeseburger was large and juicy.
The restaurant also serves beer, and the booths were spacious.

Food was AMAZING! I am in town visiting my parents and my dad and I came here for dinner. I got the phillicheesetsake sandwich and my dad got the crab cake sandwich. Both were very good!!! Glad we came. We will be back! Food was freshly made

Such a cute and quiet place. Food was great we got the burgers and chicken salad wrap. The french fries were a perfect portion. The restaurant is clean, pleasant with minimal frills; but a great, tasty menu! Little hidden gem.

Definitely a hidden gem. We couldn’t find any restaurants in the Venice area that were open in the gap between 2:30 and 5:00 on a Saturday, other than mediocre chains and fast food. Service was excellent, the young waiter, whose family owns the restaurant, was very attentive and we had a great conversation about their original home in Alberta. The poutine was straight from Canada, very crispy fries that hold up to the gravy and plenty of cheese curds, piping hot. Best poutine in Florida so far. Crab cake sandwich was proper whole lump crab, not cheap canned like you often find. Shrimp tacos were excellent, literally 12-15 shrimp in each taco and hot and crispy. Sides were great, too. Proper creamy coleslaw (at least how I grew up with it) and a nice tomato and cucumber salad. A proper mug of ice cold beer, on tap mind you, was five bucks. Prices on the other items were very reasonable, and we dine out a lot. Great place, will be back for sure.

this place was awesome! owner was the only person working in the building (cooking, serving and cleaning tables, packing orders, etc) and still everything was outstanding. We had a cheesesteak and steak tacos and they were super flavorful and fresh. Soda machine was down but the owner quickly offered us some canned soda and offered it on the house because of the inconvenience!! Really hard working man, we’ll be back for sure!

Was looking where to go with family and friends to eat after beach day and found this little place. Good was delicious. I’ve been to some expensive restaurants and didn’t have such good fish and chips as this place makes. Everything tasted fresh and tasty. Presentation was cute.
Place could use some more modern decor, add some freshness to the place to make it more inviting. But food is beautiful. Sounds like new owners took it over recently? So far a very good start.

We had the clam strips, they were good. Hubby had the coconut shrimp he said they were good,I had the grouper tacos, while they were good there was a hair in my taco and he made it right by making me a new one. Was not worth $23. Fried pickles were pre made. Atmosphere was quiet, we were the only ones in there. To me overpriced food.

Really enjoyed the fish and chips. A nice size piece of haddock, cooked to perfection and the fries crispy and hot. Will be back to try the grouper and hushpuppies.

While looking for a beauty supply store, we happened to notice this out-of-the-way “diner” at the end of the strip mall next to a new grocery store being built. My wife said that she was hungry so she went in and asked if we could have our small dog with us at the outdoor seating area. She came out and signaled to me that it was “okay”. Nice, nice waitress came with a Cab for my wife and a water for me. My wife ordered the Coconut Shrimp plater with slaw and cucumber tomato salad. I went for the Cranberry Almond Chicken Salad Wrap with fries (of course). We went on a day that they had their two soups for free, so we ordered New England Clam Chowder and their Chili con carne. Both were fantastic! The food itself took a bit longer than we expected but it was so gorgeous outside…so, who cares. Oh, and the waitress brought a bowl of water for our dog. Nice touch. The shrimp was a big hit as was the wrap sandwich. Fries were outstanding. The slaw was just right. Terrific service and an unexpected place for lunch from an unassuming front façade. We’ll go back.
