– The establishment operates on a cash-only basis, which was a bit inconvenient.
– It was very busy during my visit, with lots of workers bustling around.
– There’s a bar inside, which added to the overall atmosphere.
– Unfortunately, it felt too overcrowded, making it difficult to enjoy the ambiance.
– The food took quite a long time to arrive, which was disappointing.
– I was charged an extra $1.25 for a single piece of lettuce on my sandwich.
– The fries were soggy, and my cheesesteak was falling apart.
– On a positive note, the ribs were good.
– My wife ordered corn on the cob but didn’t eat it because it tasted like it had been sitting in water all day. However, when I brought this to the workers’ attention, they promptly replaced it without any issue.
Overall, while there were some highlights, there were also several areas that need improvement.
I’ve been coming here since 1985 and the roast beef is consistently amazing. The roast beef is lean, juicy, melt in your mouth tender, and never needs any condiments. It is the perfect roast beef sandwich. I always ask for medium rate and have always been pleased. I’m always happy to see Steve who has worked here since he was a kid.
Had dinner in this place with my wife and 2 kids. Out of desperation of being hungry, we went inside. Ordered 8pc fried chicken with sides of corn. It was the worst food I’ve ever had in my life. Chicken pieces were a giant conglomerate of old grease, fat and flour with nothing resembling the taste of a chicken. We couldn’t eat even a single piece.
Corn was old and mushy as if it was soaked in water for a week.
Never again.
Every time I will order food from now on I will think better of my choices.
THE GUY HAD NO RESPECT FOR CUSTOMER NOR HIS OWN EMPLOYEES!! The guy in mid-50s in age with glasses…. didn’t even give name…. and said company policy is that it is my responsibility to make sure the order is correct… well, how?? Until is made…you can’t tell until it is served….
And… cash only so straight into his pocket money???…
We ordered a whole pizza with two toppings. The cashier rang up in error as half pizza with toppings and half plain. Receipt didn’t say half at all, so you wouldn’t question it….
Pizza comes out, noted inaccurate order. Asked the guy to correct it, and the guy just blamed us and the cashier for not having order correct. And said he can’t do anything about it. After 10 15 mins of back and foth, he asked for toppings money so he could put toppings on top of already cooked pizza!! Or recook the cooked pizza again… Really???
On the other hand, the cashier and waitresses were extremely apologizing and were ready to pay from her pocket to make the order right…
Feel sorry for them to work for or with this kind of totally irresponsible person who, for 3 bucks, threw his crew under the situation….
For us, $3 bucks wasn’t the important thing, but how the cheating and blaming methods are being used there is the problem…
Check other reviews of the same place…. you would see.1.and 2 stars…
STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE…. WORST THEN THOSE SEAGULLS ON THE BOARD WALK …. simply steeling….
