Yesterday’s Grand Opening Ceremony was amazing. There was a line of about 25 people waiting for doors to open at 6:30 AM. So excited to have Snooze reopen. Since the closing of Grata, this is probably the only place in Orange County where you can get gluten-free brunch. My husband and I both loved the opening ceremony goodies, particularly the tote bag.

This weekend was my first time visiting Snooze as it came highly recommended. Needless to say, they did not disappoint and I would definitely pass on the next recommendation. My mom and I went for a late lunch on a Sunday. Not busy at all, so we were able to be seated fairly quickly. I ordered the Snooze Breakfast burrito add Plant-Based Chorizo with the strawberry shortcake pancake on the side. My mom decided on the French toast flight, which included the French toast neat, pineapple upside pancake, and the vegan banana bliss pancake.

Oddly enough the food was good. The burrito was ginormous but very flavorful. Kudos to our waiter James for recommending that I use the smoked cheddar cheese sauce. All of the pancakes were light and fluff. Even with all of the toppings, surprisingly enough the pancakes were not overly sweet. The vegan pancakes were our favorite. My only complaint is that our food did not come out hot. More lukewarm than anything.

We will definitely be back again!

I love this place. I’ve been to Snooze in other states and they never disappoint. This location has been exceptionally on point. Our servers have been so charming and great at their job.

I really enjoy their food, too! This time I got the Bella Bella Benny (without prosciutto) and the smashed avocado Benny duo. The balsamic glaze of the Bella Bella makes my mouth water just thinking about it and I’m happy it comes with greens. My companion was so pleased with his crab and asparagus omelette so much so that he wanted all of us to taste it. Our third person liked the customizability of the 3 egg omelette and enjoyed what he got. We also ordered a single strawberry shortcake pancake for the table to share and that was heavenly to me. Delicious!

The parking lot is large and it’s easy to find parking.

We were here, one of us from Greensboro and I, from Raleigh. Arrived at 10:30 and the wait was over 45 minutes. That’s not a negative thing, that’s how good this place is.

I checked in on Yelp, but we ended up sitting at the bar, 2 amazing servers took care of us. Seems like they Will accommodate your most picky need! The drinks were perfect, don’t judge because the alcohol was pouring.

The only thing was that the English muffin arrived almost half hour after my friend’s plate was served- but it was extremely busy and we were notified that the kitchen staff had a lot of new staff.

Will most definitely go back when in Chapel Hill

I enjoyed my brunch experience here. There was a long wait, but that is expected as it was a Sunday and the weather was amazing. I don’t appreciate waiting more than 30mins once I am seated though. Had the Corned Beef Hash – I think the chef forgot to add any seasoning. But hot sauce fixed that and i enjoyed the food. We also had the pancake flight. This was out of this world, especially the pineapple one. The chai just tasted too milky for me although not bad. Will definitely come back just for pancakes.

Visited here for the second time a few weeks ago. I ordered the Protein & Veggie Egg White Scramble with the strawberry pancake on the side. We also ordered the Crab & Asparagus Omelette. The food was flavorful and the service was great.

First off, I would like to recognize James for being an attentive, friendly, funny, knowledgeable, and kind waiter! The atmosphere was wwelcing. The food was absolutely amazing! Everything me and my sisters and I ordered was delicious, especially the snooze signature bacon , strawberry shortcake pancakes and pineapple upside-down pancakes! We definitely will be returning in the near future!! I reckon this place for family and friends!

Having been to Snooze in Arizona, I had high hopes that the location in Chapel Hill would be just a good. It’s got the same vintage dinner vibe but larger and less cozy than the other location I’ve been to but still chill. Service was good. My friends did was good and well plated, but my chilaquiles were a bit of a mess not only in the plating, but it was a if i got the tortilla chips at the bottom of the bag and the preparation was not a true chilaquiles. Tasted OK, but not amazing. Have to say the Bacon But Different was really amazing. Will go back, but will definitely order something else.

This is my go-to place for brunch. And this new chapel hill location doesn’t disappoint.

It’s all the fabulous food and superb service snooze has been delivering in Colorado since 2004.

I recommend the pancake flight with the best being the pineapple upside down they’ve had since the beginning.

They always have great Benedict’s and breakfast burrito.

Special call out to Mehr who made us feel welcome and helped us spot a new favorite on the menu. You must order the bread pudding French toast!

My girl & I had been looking for a good breakfast spot in Chapel Hill where we could get quality Benedicts, and we finally found 1: Snooze, one of the newer locations at Eastgate, a shopping area that gets a lot of foot traffic even on weekday brunch times. Thankfully, we didn’t have to wait to be seated at Snooze on a busy Wednesday brunch time.

We were taken to a small table that’s pretty close to an occupied table with 2 people in a cramped area; Despite Snooze’s large and open space with a nice outdoor seating and a bar (probably the largest restaurant in Eastgate), it seems that there is a spacing issue, and it looks like there was only 1 waitress assigned to our section. She said her name is Baj, and I’ll talk about her customer service later, but first: the food!

I ordered the Barbacoa Chile Verde Benny & my girl ordered the Smashed Avocado Benny & we got a blueberry pancake for us to share. Orders arrived in about 12 min., which is relatively fast considering Snooze’s busy brunch time.

It was my first time trying a Benny with Barbacoa (shredded beef – Mexican barbecue style), and the meat tasted as what I expected from a Barbacoa dish, and there was a fine amount in my Benny. Instead of English muffin, this one has a layer of tortilla in the bottom. The green chile sauce, melted cheese. green chile hollandaise, pico de gallo & cotija cheese all create a Mexican twist to a typical Benedict, but after trying this, I think I still prefer a typical Benny with ham, English muffin, etc,.

There was issue in my order: 1 of the 2 eggs it came with was cooked too long, so it’s more like a hard-boiled egg than a poached one, so I told Baj about it, and a manager came to check what the problem was. She asked what wanted, replacing the one wrongly-cooked egg is just fine, and she said they could do that, so I received the 1 replacement egg. I ended up eating that 1 egg by itself because I already devoured the rest of the Benny while waiting.

Other than that mistake, the brunch Bennys were generally satisfying with a healthy amount of well-baked hashbrowns on the side. My girl enjoyed her Smashed Avocado Benny, which looked quite healthy, with large slices of tomatoes, just the right amount of avocado & everything else. The $6+ blueberry pancake we shared was fine but they did not serve enough syrup, and the server did not even bother to ask if we need anything else, so we weren’t able to ask for more.

Snooze’s customer service clearly needs improvement. While server Baj seemed friendly at first, she didn’t accommodate our needs well – we had to call her to get water refills and ketchup for our hashbrowns. Not even once did she ask if we needed anything else like that pancake syrup! As for our bill, she just silently placed it on our table, making us wonder what she just put, while she took orders from the customers beside us. When we were ready to pay, she just put the payment device in front of us, and she seemed to be more cheerful doing that than actually serving us well. I was thankful that she called the manager about the egg issue, and that the manager was able to resolve it well, but overall, the customer service is just disappointing.

It’s not easy to find a good Benny in Chapel Hill, so I still think it’s a blessing to have Snooze, a nice brunch spot with quality breakfast and a vibrant ambiance. If you prefer alcohol with your brunch, Snooze’s bartender can serve that to your table. The outdoor seating is also nice but there were no customers there despite the short line of waiting ones while we were seated there. I wouldn’t say that we will never return here, but probably not anytime soon. We are willing to go farther to get a better breakfast/brunch experience with professional customer service.

Overall Score: 3.1/5
