I was charged different prices every single time for the same drink order. One time it was $27, another $41, another $63…. We tested this by getting drinks from different bartenders stating the exact liquor we wanted. I work in the industry nearby and when asked about an industry discount one said we do have it and the other two said we don’t. If you don’t that’s fine! Just keep it consistent. I have always recommended this bar to my customers that want to keep drinking after we close but yeah that won’t be happening anymore. Truly as a bartender myself for 6 years now, these ladies aren’t trusted. Seeing the way the owner reacts in the review section to negative reviews I don’t see any change happening in the bar from this review so just beware. If you do go check your bank accounts, check your receipts, make sure they’re not adding tips. I hate it in my soul to leave no tips obviously as a bartender myself but I just had to no tip on the last round because i was just in shock about the situation and how rude 2 of the bartenders were. One was super nice, I really liked her but yeah overall crazy.

Snickers Bar & Grill is a classic Chicago gem that delivers great food, strong drinks, and a fun, laid-back atmosphere. The bartenders are friendly and attentive, making sure you always have a drink in hand and feel welcome. Their menu offers delicious bar food, from juicy burgers to perfectly crispy fries, all served hot and fresh. The drinks are reasonably priced and poured strong, making it a great spot to unwind without breaking the bank. Whether you’re stopping in for a quick bite, a night out with friends, or just to enjoy the no-frills, old-school vibe, Snickers never disappoints! 5 ✨’s!!

I’ve been there twice now and I love the vibe. A corner pub local hang out with a gritty charm across from the Royal Sonesta Hotel in River North. Very straightforward food menu (burgers, gyro, fries, etc) made right there on flat grill at the far end of the bar. What really stood out was the great selection of international bottled beers available. I had a Delerium Tremens and watched the football game on one of their many TVs. Keep your head on a swivel and enjoy yourself.

Bar tenders were shitty at us for being there. Charged me $11 for a shot of gin and then charged a tip on my card after I didn’t authorize one. Went in to discuss the random tip charge the next day and was told to come back a different day because they don’t know what to do.

Do not recommend. Burnt food. Slow service. Too busy to get drinks during Bears game. 2 bartenders, waited 5 to 10 min for every time I needed a beer. Food was not good. Do not recommend. Buffalo wings we heavily breaded, small and cooked too long. They were dumped into a basket with burnt, (cooked multiple times) black fries and onion rings. There was no buffalo sauce on the chicken. Served with a cup with about 2 tablespoons of sauce. Last time I ate here burger was overcooked and corned beef was tough and tasteless. Understaffed.

Snickers has always been my favorite “hole-in-the-wall” bar in the city. Drink prices are reasonable and they do have a kitchen offering decent eats if you’re hungry. The owner is very nice and his bartenders are friendly too. I make sure to bring my friends here anytime they want to hang out downtown.

Please pay attention to your charges made on your card. The owner and the bartenders will hike up the prices and overcharge you then get mad when you bring it to their attention. The service is very poor here. I was not acknowledged until I was seated at the bar for 10 min already. The tall blonde was very rude and disrespectful. I do not recommend.

$14 for a 1oz pour. Good vibes and playlist but service/pricing for a vodka soda with only 1oz of booze is wild. I have bartended before I counted her pour. This is a dive bar.

Snickers Bar & Grill is such a fun, casual spot in downtown Chicago! Great burgers, crispy fries, and an awesome beer selection with plenty of TVs for sports. The staff makes you feel right at home.
Best part — it’s just steps away from Premier Nails – Nail Salon Downtown Chicago. Perfect plan: grab food and drinks here, then head over to Premier Nails for a relaxing manicure or pedicure. A great combo for locals and visitors!

Not sure who this place is for because typically you go to a dive bar for cheaper drinks but my draft beer was $9.50! Was planning to eat but after seeing the sad looking gyro pit decided to eat elsewhere.
There are much better options near by for dive bars.
