Run, don’t walk! You MUST visit!
Only comes in a large size so you can definitely split it with multiple people and it was at a reasonable price. Very flavorful and full of juice (I hate a dry snowball/snow cone )Would highly recommend on a hot summer day like today. Located in the historical downtown Cedar Hill with multiple businesses around it.
If you’ve been craving a real New Orleans-style snowball in the DFW area, SneauxNola is the place to go. From the moment I pulled up, I could tell this wasn’t your average snowball stand — this place brings the true heart and soul of the Crescent City, right down to the flavors, the atmosphere, and the people.
The snowballs? Absolutely phenomenal. Rich, bold flavors, ultra-soft ice, and that perfect syrup-to-ice ratio you can only get when someone really knows what they’re doing. It immediately reminded me of the classics I grew up on — Pandora’s and Rodney’s in New Orleans — and that’s no small compliment. They even have stuffed snowballs, which are incredibly hard to find in North Texas. These are done right: creamy, flavorful centers wrapped in smooth, flavored ice, made with real care.
Beyond the snowballs, they offer up nachos with melted cheese and peppers, giving you just the right salty-savory balance to all that sweet. It’s the kind of snack combo that makes you want to sit back, relax, and stay a while.
The stand itself is friendly and welcoming, with staff that truly treat you like family. And it’s no surprise — the owner is a proud representative of McDonogh #35 Roneagles, bringing not just great flavor but a deep sense of hometown pride to every cup. That New Orleans spirit is alive and well here.
In a metroplex where authentic snowball stands are few and far between, SneauxNola stands tall as a flavorful, nostalgic, and soulful destination. It’s a well-hidden gem that deserves to be found. Five stars all the way — I’ll definitely be back, and next time, I’m bringing everyone I know.
