We stayed on Canal Street and walked to the Sneaky Pickle two nights in a row for dinner. The veggie-forward menu had us hooked! The sauces, drinks, and desserts were all well balanced, the mains inventively prepared (roasted sunchoke soup w/ tarragon, grilled beats with macadamia nuts and red chili, etc), and the cocktails superb. Highly recommended (although you don’t necessarily need that long walk to enjoy the experience).

My local friends highly recommended this spot — and now I see why! It was completely full on a Friday night, so I’d definitely suggest making a reservation in advance.
Such a cute place for a date. The entire space — including the reception area — is filled with artwork created by the staff. Beautiful pieces and very affordable, which adds a nice personal touch.
Our server was super friendly and attentive. I got the Wagyu burger with bacon, and my friends ordered two veggie dishes — everything was delicious and full of flavor. We also shared the knife-cut fries (a must!) and asked for extra ranch dressing. That ranch was so good.
I’d absolutely go back again. Great atmosphere, great food, great vibe.

Our college group takes a girls trip every year, and this year we made our way to New Orleans! We had an amazing meal at Sneaky Pickle. Our server was Anna and she was so delightful and personable. We told her what kind of night we wanted to have after dinner, and she recommended some local gems. We had a fabulous night, at dinner and at all our spots afterwards, thanks to Anna. These Chicago girls love you, Anna! If you ever leave this beautiful city, the Midwest is ready to welcome you!

Beautiful spot in Bywater, we paired it with a wander around the neighborhood and a visit to Studio BE.
As we aren’t local, we opted to order a spread of Smalls: Bok Choi, Corn, Beer Battered Delicata Squash, Tofu Wraps, Salad and the the Spaghetti Squash from the Mains menu.
The smalls were all quite intense – makes sense as they are meant to be bites shared with groups! – and if I had to do it again I’d definitely order the tofu wraps, salad and beer battered delicata squash.
Enjoyed the vibe, even though it was probably quiet because we were there so early on a Friday, and enjoyed the art on the walls and merch selection.

My first experience at The Sneaky Pickle was very memorable. I love the art and overall vibe! I like that you can order at the register when you walk in and get your own water and silverware, to go boxes, etc. The staff was attentive and communicative from the moment I stepped in the door, which can make or break an operation like this. Overall, The atmosphere, food and drinks were very great! I’ll certainly be back! Not pictured: Espresso Martini: delicious but not overly strong. Definitely would order again. / Eggrolls: Amazing! Flaky and crispy with this lovely flavor that I’ve never had before / Wagyu Beef Burger: Run to get this! I’m not a burger person but this was the best burger I’ve ever had. SUCH A VIBE! My partner & I became vegan less than a month ago but have been dairy free/vegetarian in the past & this is some of the best vegan food we’ve ever had! Haley was our sever & she was so sweet & the rest of the employees gave great service, too. 10/10 will be back! We had the fried onion (best we’ve ever had & omg the sauce) vegan Mac n cheese & the Reuben… sooooo yummy

Overall, the experience from our server and the atmosphere was great. Its not a horrible place, it’s very open so you get pretty good air and it was quieter than most bars at 6pm.
However, the drinks were insanely pricey (as was the food, although quite good). Youre only able to split the bill evenly, which was frustrating becsuse our friends ordered much more than we had.
I personally wouldn’t go here again.

We were visitng from out of town and are both vegan. We found this place while searching for places with vegan options and we are so glad we went! It was great. We shared the tofu lettuce wraps and the Mac & Cheese pasta. Both dishes were full of flavor. Service was excellent as was the atmosphere. Would definitely go back if we are ever in NOLA again.
