Everything was pretty good. My Mom’s Turkey & Swiss was phenomenal, and definitely what I’ll be getting next time. My BBQ Brisket & Swiss was a bit tough, but the sauce made up for it. Finally, the “Snarfy” Chili was actually pretty good— spicy though!
We’d get Snarf’s again. I never knew this place existed until recently!
I’m slightly disappointed at my first experience at a Snarf’s. I came here today (Tuesday) to buy myself lunch for my birthday. I ordered the Snarf Salad with Italian dressing and a side of pickles. The staff was very friendly and the place appeared clean. I took my order to go, so I am unable to speak much on the interior other than what I experienced. The amount of meat and cheese on the dressing is delightful and tastes great. However, it also came with egg, onion, and tomato. The egg and onion were there, but there were two tiny grape tomatoes that I had to dig for in this large salad; a bit unfortunate. The dressing was extremely diluted with vinegar, to the point that it was runny like water and the vinegar was all I could smell or taste. Fortunately, I am okay with vinegar, but this was not Italian dressing. Finally, although it is weird, I love pickles but hate cucumbers. I like to get a pickle on the side at delis, like that do at some other places. Sadly, the pickles I received were very bland, not salted enough, nor had enough flavor to be called a pickle. I did not eat them. I expect a little more for the price of $12. It’s a large salad with a fair amount of meat, but the execution was not ideal. Overall, it was just okay and not an experience that would make me want to come back. I typically try to give a place a second chance, so I will probably try again with a different order. I was so excited to see this opened so close to work and was looking forward to visiting often. However, I am unsure if that will be the case.
