Smug’s offers hand-made pizzas at our three convenient locations in Eureka, Arcata, and McKinleyville. We offer a variety of combination pizzas as well as pizza by the slice, using our dough made fresh every day and 100% whole milk mozzarella. Let’s begin with the highlight:
What a kind man served us!
Owner? Manager? He was more than concerned we got what we wanted, even double checking and asking, very attentive.
We liked the concept of “rolled crust”.
Looked clean at quick glance.
Now for some suggestions:
Heat up slices before sending out. Just a little heat makes all the difference in pizza.
Have more chips and cookie options.
Just a tad flavor to the pie (oregano or a hit of basil would amp it up)
While eating we decided a kind, even really really kind person, isn’t always the best cook or business owner.
In the end, we wouldn’t return.

I think an “it’s OK” is appropriate. We had been recommended other pizza places before we settled on Smugs, and we based that on the reviews we had seen on Google and Yelp. But when we got our pizza, the cheese was almost like a layer of rubber… The bread however was awesome. I’d give their crust 5 stars!! But unfortunately this pizza didn’t hit the spot for us.

Cuz the service is outstanding however there product my boyfriend and I both got two slices of pizza each and it was 1621 a little sip but I got to stand with today’s economy I think it’s a little pricey but customer service is not that bad it’s good. I’d have this over Little Caesars any day. And even probably Domino’s you better for sure but pricier for sure.

Excellent pizza, great value, I have a huge pizza for under $20 and every bite is a winner. Mushroom and cheese, a ton of flavor and the crust is awesome. They fold the edge over a little sauce, making every single bite perfect, none of those pieces at the end that are hard as rock. If you want an awesome pizza, you’ve found it.
