This is a great place to relax and enjoy drinks at the outside bar, and simultaneously being able to bring your family in for a meal.
I had the smash burger, my wife had the shrimp basket, and my daughter destroyed a basket of fries. The food was great and the price point was more than fair considering the location (Isle of Palms).
The bartender was friendly and let us know to order at the bar when ready. She was attentive and detail oriented.
When leaving the cool dude with dreads gave my daughter a sticker and a pink plastic palm tree which she carried around using it as a magic wand for the remainder of our stay at IOP.
The staff treated my kid like gold and for that me and mine will only be eating at Smugglers when we do our beach trips. Thank you for being real ones

Let me make this perfectly clear.
You must order at the bar.
Don’t come in and sit at a table, come in, order your food and drinks at the bar and then sit down.
The place is great, the mood is great, there is island music, outdoor seating, plenty of sights to see.
But you must order your food at the bar.
But really, the food was fantastic and the beer was cold.

This is located in front of coconuts Joes! Great place to watch the sunset! Fish and chips was yummy! Service was fast and staff was friendly. They even had a guitar man playing! Lots of rum choices! I had a non-alcoholic strawberry daiquiri! Very good!

smash burger was good but the rest of the food my friends had wasn’t too good. service wasn’t the greatest yes people are nice but if you aren’t in the bar don’t expect them to worry about you. however bar service looks wonderful and they all got their needs met so if you are over 21 definitely sit in the bar. the chicken in the wrap was over cooked and so was the bacon in the breakfast bowl. it was alright i wouldn’t come again. we waited well over 45 minutes. the place is really pretty tho. Update: man noticed we waited a long time here so he gave us a discount and apologized it was because only one cook was back there instead of two

We ran into Smuggler’s Island looking for non-alcoholic frozen drinks for my wife and kids and ended up staying for dinner because the food looked so good! It did not disappoint! My wife and I each had some of the best cooked fish and chips we have eaten in a long time. Our little guy had a perfectly fried shrimp basket. Our daughter enjoyed her grilled chicken and soft pretzels. Don’t think you are getting bar food when yo pull up a stool here, these guys know how to make a great meal!

Stopped in after walking around the shops to get a couple of drinks and chill out. I am glad I did. Great service, and most of the people here were locals. Had a couple of good drinks and seemed Ike everyone eating and drinking was having fun and enjoying their meals. I will definitely be back! Thank you for the good service!

Bomb smash burger, would come back just for this. Came here for food before a show at the windjammer because it was close & open, and I’m glad we did because the food was pretty solid, but the smashburger is fire, it kind of reminds me of a Frisco melt from steak n shake (one of my favorites), The onion rings were good too. Food came out fairly quickly, but getting the order in took a sec because there was only person working and you had to order at the bar. I’d come back here again for sure.

Phenomenal experience! I visited with a large group and we felt nothing but welcomed. David, the bartender, provided outstanding service—he greeted us right away, secured us tables, and truly took great care of us. The food was delicious, and the shot ski was such a fun highlight! The food here is mediocre, you can find much better food other places around here. There is live entertainment and that was lovely. The bar is so busy all the time and it took a long time for them to take my order and bring my food. They do give you your drinks right away. If you’re going here for the good vibes and just want a little snack (not a meal) then it will be a good option. If you’re looking for good food and service, this place isn’t it.
