The fried chicken and waffles were so delicious! The fried chicken portion size was small, but the meat was so tender and juicy. The potatoes went well with the dish as well. Definitely pricey, but a fun brunch spot with friends for special occasions. Staff was friendly and restaurant interior is very spacey but open so it’s very loud during busy meal times. Plenty of parking behind the building.

We ordered online and I ordered the corn beef smash. Only got two tiny pieces of corn beef and a ton of deli turkey meat. Turkey meat was not an add on and not what the menu states. What a huge disappointment! You get more corn beef at Stripes Burrito!
In the second picture you can see the tiny bit of corn beef compared to the deli turkey meat.

It was on point at Sunday brunch time. Busy but we didn’t wait for a seat, our hostess was ready to seat us, our server was fantastic, attentive, and made good suggestions. Thanks Nicandra! And then the food. The food was awesome. We’ll be back. Also, ftr, it was reasonably priced.

Really enjoyed my first visit! Self serve drip coffee station while you wait if there is one. Very cute interior and bar seating. Simple but great menu options, unique as well. Even though there was self serve coffee, our server brought us a fresh pot to have at the table. Omelet I ordered was delicious and good portions. Service was awesome.

I was really excited to try this restaurant, especially after seeing all of the good reviews. My sister and I went this morning and awful is an understatement. After ordering it took the food 45 minutes to make it to our table and when it did arrive it was cold and not what we ordered. We then received what we ordered, also cold, and the food was very greasy and not appetizing. I ordered the biscuits and gravy and my sister ordered the Avocado toast. Our food looked nothing like the photos of what other people have posted here. I’ll never go back. We saw our waitress once after ordering and that was just to drop off our bill. It was expensive and not worth it.

The pecan espresso martini is amazing!
I love their biscuits as well.
I would say “third time is a charm” but I’ve been charmed every single time I’ve come.
The bacon flight is fun and my partner really loves the Carne Adovada Smash plate.
The cocktails are unique and delicious. My favorite other than the espresso martini is the Desert Daisy. The pink sugar is cute and memorable!
The staff and kitchen are very allergen aware and accommodating. There was no eye rolling, annoyance or contempt at all which are all things I’ve experienced many times at other venues.
Everyone was very kind.
The atmosphere is fun and funky. There are multiple nice patios to hang out at in addition to the indoor seating.
Emma (the manager) comes around and checks on everyone and she remembers people who have come in previously. She really works on making everyone feel welcome and heard. She also actually helps her staff rather than kicking back and watching.
Every server and bartender has been delightful and fun.
This truly is a hidden gem in my humble opinion.
I’m putting I spent $50-$100 per person as my partner and I had cocktails.
If you are not imbibing, you’re probably looking at closer to $30 per person if each of you have an appetizer on top of a drink and an entrée.

Was looking for a new brunch location to celebrate a birthday and chose Smothered. Immediately loved the vibe of the place. A lot of natural light, neon behind the bar, and any place that has a disco ball gets bonus points. I ordered the chicken and biscuit because anything that has chorizo as an ingredient, I’m in. Chicken could have used more seasoning but the portion was big and chicken was not dry. Really enjoyed the kale salad as well. Staff was friendly and attentive. Really enjoyed our meal and will be back to try other items.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Smothered, and I must say, it was a delightful experience from start to finish. The food was truly exceptional; each dish was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. It’s clear that the chefs take pride in their craft and focus on quality ingredients.
The drink selection was equally impressive, with a range of options that complemented the meal perfectly. Whether you prefer cocktails, wines, or something non-alcoholic, there’s something for everyone.
The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it a perfect spot for both casual dining and special occasions. The décor struck a lovely balance between modern and cozy, enhancing the overall dining experience.
What truly stood out, however, was the friendly and attentive wait staff. They were knowledgeable about the menu and made excellent recommendations, ensuring that our experience was as enjoyable as possible. It’s always nice to be in a place where the staff genuinely cares about their customers.
Overall, Smothered delivers a fantastic dining experience. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to enjoy delicious food in a welcoming environment. I can’t wait to return!

For the most part I would say it’s okay, but there’s definitely a lot of room for improvement. My friend and I were quickly sat at the bar which was lovely! However, it took nearly an hour for us to receive our orders, and by then we had both had 2 drinks which were *definitely* beginning to kick in. Their mimosa selection is really great – we had the Peach Bellini and Garibaldi flavors, both were spectacular! The toast on the Smothered Martini is super stale, so… don’t eat that part lol! As I said, the wait for the food was close to an hour, and our appetizers came out at the same time as the rest of our order, which… thanks, but that totally defeats the purpose of having starters. We ordered the biscuit appetizers which were fine, but the red chile honey butter was midder than mid, and had ZERO flavor to it whatsoever – super disappointing. One bright spot were the sides, the potatoes and the side salad were both delicious! Our servers/bartenders were kind and welcoming, which definitely was a plus. Overall, there’s lots of room for improvement and I do think they’re off to a good start, but I can’t say I’ll be running back to Smothered for more anytime soon!
