Unfortunately not as good as I hoped.
The brisket tasted really bad.. which was the most disappointing. The ribs were good, not falling off the bone but good. The slaw is missing some sugar. The corn is not good. Its as if the corn is boiled first and for too long, making it very mushy. Then there is too much sauce on it, you can’t really taste bbq corn. That said, the drinks were good tho and the staff is all SUPER nice. The mac and cheese is very good and the fried chicken sandwhich is great.

This is a pretty good little BBQ joint in downtown Toronto! The food was pretty good, with a few dings.

The pulled pork had a nice flavor, but arrived a little lukewarm with a bit sparse bbq sauce. The brisket was pretty dry & definitely the least enjoyable part. The pork side ribs were absolutely phenomenal, the Chipotle mayo grilled corn just lovely, and the tater tots were crispy & great.

The service was great, prompt, and attentive. The space was a bit tight on the second floor & the table wobbled a LOT, which at times made eating less than ideal.

So, overall: mixed! Not the best BBQ I’ve ever had & rang in at $150 for the sampling plate with 2 non-alcoholic drinks & and addition of tots. Would go back again & try other stuff!

EDIT: -1 star overall for staff repeatedly asking for the name my reservation was under, not confirming it, then erroneously marking me as no-showing. C’mon now, SMH.

i smoke my own bbq – i mean all kinds so i have standards.

ribs here were too tough to chew even if you guys aimed to make it so called restaurant style.
briskets were dry, I don’t know why you guys didn’t at least smother it with tallow juice after cutting it if not going to make it properly.
sausages had no juice, just very dry.
cornbread was the only thing i could enjoy a bit but who can’t make damn good cornbread if you know how to smoke bbq? mac n cheese was too bland, lacking cheese flavour. not to mention it was lukewarm

Ive tried all menu items, that’s how good this place is. Hands down the best BBQ. One of my favourite quick bites is the brisket sandwich. Make sure you try the corn bread, they’re to die for no joke.

We went on a weekday at around 7:30PM and it was not that busy. Food and service by Nehmo is great, he is so nice and even took cute photos of me and my bf. I am like a rib fanatic and it’s actually so good + the sweet potato waffle fries!

The only downside is the chair at the ground floor. I am small so the barstool is not it for me, my feet couldn’t reach the foot rest so I was uncomfortable. We asked if we can move to the 2nd floor but they said it’s close because there’s only one waiter working at that time. Regardless, they apologized about the situation and again, the food was good.

But just take note if you are a small girlypop, maybe call first to ask if their upper floor is open.

Super yummy BBQ, tried their sampler for 2 and few other dishes. Staff are great. Passion Fruit crush mocktail was delicious! Price reasonable for BBQ. Great for families too, went there as a family with our 5 and 6 year olds.

I have been wanting to visit since this place opened! We got the baby back ribs (absolutely delicious), coleslaw (favourite of my bestie), brussel sprouts (my favourite), waffle fries (crispy and sweet), tater tots (another favourite great with the chipotle mayo), Mac and cheese (we both loved it), corn bread (we got an extra 2 orders for our friend), Cesar salad (this was devoured, I know salad at a southern BBQ, but it paired perfectly with everything) and biscuits (blueberry butter was delish).
We also ordered the lemonade( it has mint in it) and the sweet tea (I ordered two).
Overall great experience, but definitely a bigger crowd next time to finish the food (we had a lot of leftovers haha).

Quaint little place with BIG flavors, timeless music and awesome customer service. These are my favs on the menu and I’m sure you will love them too, The ribs were meaty and grilled to perfection (looks like they source the good stuff, wasnt bony n full of gristle), the pulled pork was fall off the bone tender and packed with flavor, the Mac and cheese was so creamy and delectable, let’s not forget the corn bread,it was perfectly mixed and baked to perfection, it’s paired with a creamy, slightly sweet butter that just melts in your mouth. Worth the price.

If you like ribs and bbq food then this is the place to go! I had their signature pork ribs and cornbread and they were just cooked / seasoned perfectly. The cornbread is sweet which is a nice contrast and the portion sizes are large too, which is great!
Prices are reasonable, I spent around $40.
I’d 100 percent return and next time try other things on their menu, alongside those ribs again!
