I love to support local businesses but when they continually fail, I have to be honest. I frequent smoothie King in Dallas and San Antonio often and am usually pretty happy with their service and food. Unfortunately, I’ve been to this smoothie King three times. The first time, they got the order wrong but they were new so i gave them a pass. The second time, they barely put anything in the cup that i ordered. I didn’t say anything and chalked it up to a fluke. I went tonight and the same thing happened. They advertise a full cup and you get barely half. If the price was $7-8, i could stomach it.. But at $11+, it would be nice to get what is advertised. As proof, the two photos are what they advertise compared to what i got. I hope they remedy this type of service because I’d like to see them succeed but it is tough to go back when this is what you come to expect.
Update: since my original review, I’ve been back twice and they’ve seemed to have remedied the issue with such small portions. They’re on par with other smoothie kings now

This is our favorite place to “eat” in town! We each get our own smoothie bowl! My fav is the Coco Colada bowl!! I sub the honey for peanut butter and the pineapple for mangos!! Even though that’s my fav bowl, I have tried all of them and they are all good! Something for the whole family!!

I have had several opportunities to visit the Uvalde Smoothie King and had wonderful experiences with staff and enjoy a quick protein smoothie on those very busy days when I don’t have time to sit down and eat. The staff always greets me with a smile and the drinks are all very consistent and delicious. Thank you staff for making each trip to your store enjoyable and quick.

When I’m going on road trips to SA from Del Rio, I stop for a drink. It’s fast, easy, filling, healthy, and I can get back on the road. The restrooms are clean. I wish they had a changing table for babies. The workers are always friendly.
