Oh my what a lovely smoothie king! A young man who l believe was named Boon, served me my smoothie a while back and I just have not been able to stop thinking about the absolutely lucious smoothie he made me. I ordered a strawberry hulk and it was blended to perfection. It had a vibrant, rosy hue to it, when I looked at it, it was practically begging me to take a sip.
The first taste is a burst of fresh
strawberries, perfectly balanced with a hint of some banana and creamy yogurt. Each gulp was smooth and rolled down the tongue with ease. It left a sweet, refreshing aftertaste making me crave more. Thank you SO much for the amazing experience, and thank you to the kind and handsome young man who made me the perfect smoothie. I cannot wait to come back

I went into smoothie King after my workout as a reward because I’ve been working out now for a month straight trying to get my BP under control.
I wanted to order one of the smoothies and had decided on the peanut butter one and the employee, an older white man with glasses who didn’t make eye contact (which I was fine with because maybe he’s on the spectrum), ask if I wanted it in original chocolate or strawberry. I was going to get chocolate but then I asked him which one’s better chocolate or peanut butter, to which he replied to me “they’re just different flavors none are better or worse” as if I didn’t already understand the difference.
I was merely asking which one more people enjoyed because I’ve never had it before but the way he answered me was very condescending.
I replied with I’m fine and proceeded to leave the store and while doing so he mumbled something under his breath as I walked away.
It’s bad enough your store already smells like bad bananas, but maybe you could hire somebody that isn’t rude and condescending towards women who were just making small talk while trying to decide what flavor smoothie they wanted.
I won’t be returning any time soon.
Please be sure and thank your employee for making what was a feeling of accomplishment, a bad experience for both of us.

From the moment you walk into this place you notice the cleanliness and are immediately greeted with a smile and a warm greeting. Jaden always has the sweetest personality and is super efficient in taking and making your order. She makes you want to visit just to mirror her contagious kindness and smile. The smoothies she makes are always consistent in taste and texture. I will see you again soon Jaden and Smoothie King. Keep doing a great job!

Another update: if this wasn’t right around the corner for me I would come back. The management is totally missing the mark…this store continually has issues. Staff is never prepared for the business. They don’t know the menu so if you order anything that not a popular they mess it up. The employees are apologetic which is a nice gesture but it’s SMOOTHIES not rocket science. Mistakes are totally acceptable but every time is a huge issue! MANAGEMENT NEEDS TO BE IN STORE until this location is stable. As a business owner myself I feel sad for the employees. They need training and HELP!
Update. If you don’t leave a tip on a pick up order, they won’t fill your cup to the top. I brought cash to tip…but the 32oz cup I paid for was not full see photo. And the employee was blasting rap music and nowhere to be seen out in the front to ask him to remake it. This is my last time at this location. It’s sucks.
They always have staffing problems, and even if it says open and they aren’t the online ordering system still takes your money! The smoothies are good, but it’s hit or miss if they are open, and it always smells like a dirty mop in this location.
Unfortunately, only order from this location if you go into the store because the system takes your money whether they are open (during business hours) or not. Annoyed. Expecting a refund for my order today. Their voicemail is full, smoothie king HQ phone numbers don’t work either…terrible experience

Addison and Cooper always brighten my night with joyful attitudes, there patient, smart and very very helpful, and they give great suggestions on new smoothies for me to try because I am a regular, I also came a minute late after closing and they was still very open to help me get a smoothie I was looking forward to. They work efficiently and keep things neat and make it a wonderful environment, I genuinely wanted to show my appreciation to them and how well they work and perform.

Service STINGS at the Bee Ridge store! The young lady that helped me was rude. No hello. No thank you. I had to correct the order twice. The wrong smoothie was still made. When I expressed in disbelief that I’d had to correct the order twice and still got the wrong smoothie, the older man who served it said “oh boy” and went on to doing something. Pretty sure he’s the manager/owner. Only after my baffled stare did he say, “I could make you another one” in a bothered tone, waiting for me to ask him to correct the mistake. No I’m sorry about that or even a yikes smile. I said, no thank you. I will 100% happily drive 10 minutes to either of the sweet and efficient stores on Fruitville or Bay Rd.

I usually love going to smoothie king all the time, but today I went with my sister and I ordered angel food, which is just a strawberry and banana smoothie. But after we got back to our car I took a sip of it and I tasted peanut butter, which makes me think, do they wash their blenders well enough? I’m not trying to hate on smoothie king but this was greatly disappointing given the fact I don’t like peanut butter. I do acknowledge that it was probably just the staff at the time though, not smoothie king’s fault. This just greatly annoyed me.
