My review is specifically for the kayaking tour. My daughter and I recently camped at rock island state park. Mickey met my daughter and I there and took us on a tour to see twin falls. It was a beautiful place to kayak and he was so nice and helpful!! We plan to come visit and stay at Smooth Rapids campground next time we camp out there. Genuine guy so I know the whole campground has got to be awesome.

The campsites are pretty cool along the river, but they don’t have concrete pads for RVs and Camper but they do have gravel down. They said they are looking to pour pads this year. They have water, and power hook ups. No sewage hook ups, but they will come pump your sewage tank before you leave. The shuttle came and got all if our kayaks and dropped us off and then picked us up at the end. Very friendly staff.

Tacos need taco sauce or salsa for moisture. The fried green tomatoes are outstanding. It’s lovely setting outside over seeing the river. Our group of ladies enjoyed the atmosphere.

The river monster sandwich was delicious! The horseradish sauce was flavorful but not overpowering and the roast beef was so tender. The service was quick and friendly. Nice view of kayaks on the river!

Great casual place on the river with a dining deck out back. Great servers and my encounters with mgmt have been positive. Everything I’ve tasted has been outstanding, but my go-to is their patty melt. Try it, you won’t be disappointed!!

They have really good food, some of the best in town. The burgers and tacos are great! We have never had bad service, and everyone is always friendly. The prices with the online menu are about 3 dollars lower than at the restaurant.

By the time we received our order four other tables sat eat and left before we even got our food. how old are fried green tomatoes with my dinner so they didn’t bother coming to ask what else I wanted they just brought me french fries I guess they decided what I wanted. promise never again.

When my boyfriend and I were literally caught between a rock and a hard place, mickey at smooth rapids proved there are good people out there. Our truck (pull vehicle) for our fifth wheel broke down .. he let us come to his park, and helped us immensely. We ate at the restaurant, stayed at the campground for 10 weeks. They went above and beyond. I can’t say enough. They made a bad situation more than bearable, we actually had fun! Thank you mickey!!!!!
