We are located in the 5401 North community. We have Espresso and Drip based coffee drinks, along with pour over coffee and a selection of hot teas available. We serve pastries from Union Special that are delicious (and go quickly). And our chef is a specialist in Gluten Free treats that taste wonderful even if you are not avoiding gluten. We have a selection of breakfast sandwiches and Frittatas served all day, and sandwiches and salad available for lunch. We hope you will come by relax, enjoy the smooth coffee (joe), smooth jazz, and put the world on pause for a bit.

Stopped by on a Wednesday morning and found it nice and quiet with quick, friendly service. I ordered an iced latte and a cinnamon roll — they warmed up the roll, which helped since it didn’t seem to be the freshest, but the coffee was solid. There’s plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors. I just wish they had a few more pastry options to choose from. Still, for about $10 for a coffee and cinnamon roll, you really can’t go wrong.

Love everyone and everything about smooth Joe location. I been coming here 3+ years and this place has always made a space for me and my kids to feel a sense of home. We homeschooled here in peace, worked from my laptop, and studied for exams and it’s always a lovely vibe. I can’t express how much I truly appreciate how they remember my family and always ask about them, never once forget my name and even remembers that I love LOVE mayo I’ve tried everything on the menu and always AMAZING! The music is perfect and the love I feel from the people who work here has always been genuine thank you ALL for always spreading love through your drinks, food and service.

First time here today 11/23/24. This is in my neighborhood and can’t believe I have never stopped in. Glad to try it today and have this near my home. Everything is good and will be back. We got a hot mocha & hot caramel macchiato drink and food we got turkey sausage, egg & cheese biscuit & bacon, egg, & cheese biscuit. We spent $25 today. Parking is great. You can park on the street in front or the parking lot in the back.

Nice place. Came here to read and wait while my spouse did an exam at Wake Tech. Very friendly and helpful staff. I don’t drink coffee but know a fair bit about it having processed beans, roasted and packed coffee in Hawai’i. Very good selection of coffee and they take care and are well trained in preparation. I do drink tea and the selection of loose leaf tea is good and also thoughtfully prepared. Lot’s of comfortable seating. Bright space but peaceful and subtle. Highly recommended.
