We’ve been riding past Smoky Tony’s on our way to Jacksonville for the longest time and finally decided to stop in — and wow, we’re so glad we did! This place is AMAZING.
We went on a Tuesday night and they were hosting music bingo, which was such a fun surprise. The atmosphere was lively, the crowd was having a blast, and it made for the perfect night out.
The staff were super sweet and friendly, making us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. And the food? Absolutely delicious! Everything we tried was packed with flavor and came out fresh and hot.
Safe to say, we won’t be just riding by anymore. We will definitely be going back! Highly recommend checking them out!

Hands down one of the best BBQ spots in Eastern North Carolina. I’m really glad I stopped by today. Lorena and Cindy took great care of me and were friendly and attentive throughout my visit.I started with the hush puppies, and they were excellent fresh, hot, and full of flavor. For my meal, I ordered the brisket with fries and collard greens. Everything tasted great, and you can tell they put real effort into their food. The brisket was thick,tender, and juicy and the fries were cooked well, and the collard greens had that good, homemade taste. I originally planned to skip dessert, but Lorena recommended the cinnamon cheesecake, and I’m glad I tried it. It ended up being a really nice finish to the meal.Overall, it was a great experience with good food and service. I’ll definitely be back.

Some of the best smoke ribs and pull pork in town. All of the food was very tasteful so we tried a little of everything, they were out of 5 items but can not complain, this is a hot spot for dinning with family or friends. Plenty of parking and inside seating.

Great tasting BBQ and the staff were on point! First time here and we will be back! Never ordered collard greens before and they were amazing. Yes I’m a Michigander. Brisket was tender and very delicious without too much fat, just how I like it. Homemade honey mustard with the fried pickles was so good. Banana pudding was amazing too!

Y’all this was some delicious food. Hush puppies as appetizer was a wise choice. Brisket perfect. Sauce variety on table amazing. Queso burger with some homemade queso very unique and delicious. Chicken also very good but very very very large portion. Pulled pork is dangerous. Fries excellent. Banana pudding so very homemade and awesome. Liked the baked beans but we would call them cowboy style not baked beans for reference. It was worth every penny. Variety of cheesecakes we did not even get to try..

I wish I could have tried more of their food. But I’m an honest guy so I just had my teeth replaced for permanent teeth (37k) but I got the rice bowl with pork. And damn it was good, the sauce was great with it. I love the atmosphere and the vibe. Seems like a good ole country place to me. The pies and slices of cakes looked absolutely delicious. I’ll have to give that a try next time. But if you like your bbq or never tried bbq then stop by. Get a bite to eat and leave a happy person. Thanks and I’ll definitely be back

This was the most amazing meal! I had the 1/2 ribs that were fall of the bone good! Fresh cut French fries and homemade mac&cheese! Crystal was amazing so very sweet, welcoming and personable! The owner walks around talking with everyone and his wife makes the homemade desserts! So very delicious! Thank you for making us for feeling welcome in your restaurant!

The customer service is outstanding! From the moment we walked through the door (we were the very first customers that Sunday morning) we were warmly welcomed. The food matched the care and attention of the workers! We ordered ribs, Mac & cheese, coleslaw & a pulled pork sandwich. Everything was top notch! We even got to meet Mr Tony himself. Didn’t have space for dessert , but the cheesecake sounded rich & tasty. We will definitely return on our next visit to NC !

Just wanted to share about an amazing experience we had at Smoky Tony’s BBQ today. The food and service really deserve to be noticed here in the Surf Cirty / Holly Ridge area! Truly great, fresh – home cooked food and the desserts are ahhhmazing!! (Tony’s wife bakes the dessserts while Tony handles the rest!) Tony comes out and visits each table to make sure your food and experience are perfect. If you haven tried them out yet, you need to! Another great local gem in the area!!
