This place has the absolute BEST ribs on the bone we’ve ever had! So.much.meat!! Literally falls off the bone, and so, so good! The BBQ sauce was just right—not too spicy or sweet! It’s right off the interstate, so every time we travel from TX to TN, we will be stopping to eat the world’s best ribs! To the pit master: thank you for cooking the ribs to perfection all night long!! More people need to know about this place!!

Stop playin mane..Lol!! Driving from Tennessee to Texas and my friend wanted some BBQ. I grabbed the first place I saw on Google and upon arrival I was thinking either we about to get robbed or have the BEST BBQ EVER! The food definitely does not disappoint. We ordered brisket sandwiches and wings and Boi this food was ON POINT! Big chunks of meat and tangy sweet sauce topped with coleslaw and pickles. WIngs crispy and well cooked fries seasoned to perfection. Choice of lemonade or fruit punch. We had to thank the owner on the way out and compliment him on his service and standard of good food.

Made the Memphis Flyer’s top 5 hole in the wall bbq joints. While that might describe the local and atmosphere, the bbq sandwich is pretty darn good. Wednesday at 12 it wasn’t very busy for dine in but there was a lot of carry out business. Thick dark bbq sauce with a hint of sweet to it. Reminded me of another sauce I’d had but I couldn’t peg it down. Definitely worth the trip.

I was told this was the best BBQ in Memphis. We arrived right as they opened on a Monday morning, so I can understand that certain meats weren’t available yet-although they should stay on top of it. I had the pulled pork nachos, and I should have asked for light sauce, as it was overwhelmed with BBQ and nacho cheese. The meat was unbelievably tender and delicious. Even though it was from the night before, it had a smokey flavor with spices I assume are secret. My husband had fresh ribs that fell right off the bone.
The atmosphere is very family oriented. I can tell they have a lot of loyal regulars and a decent nightlife with pool tournaments. The guys who served us showed us that souther hospitality we tourists always hear about.
Don’t let the building fool ya. Some places, like Rendezvous, are geared towards tourists with bright lights and loud decor. When a great BBQer is a master of their craft, they focus more on the food and less on the building.
Overall, sauce was too sweet, but the meat was top-notch. Service was awesome, and the atmosphere had a lived-in feel.

Came in right before closing so the ribs i wanted were all sold out (understandable). I ended up getting the Fried Catfish dinner an the Lemon Pepper Wings an both were AMAZING A++++. Everything tasted cooked to order an was so succulent. I couldnt finish it all an ended up having leftovers for breakfast. This food was A1 an VERY affordable. I highly recommend and customer service was PHENOMENAL.
