Traveling instructor looking for dinner and found the only restaurant open on a Monday night in Hot Springs SD. Amazing brisket chili and sliders. Sitting at the bar they have a great selection of beer and friendly staff. Great selection of hot sauce and the tacos were a great value and delicious.

It’s a really nice place! We had pork sliders for all appetizer, and then we each had tacos. It was totally decent! Could be the best food in hot springs by far! Also, their beer selection was very good! Like everywhere these days, you WILL PAY!! But that is everywhere, including hot springs. But it really is, good truly homemade food, and it’s very good! You won’t be disappointed here.

Always amazing food and service!! Left the bowling alley to come here after sitting at the bowling alley for an hour and NOT receiving our food. By the time it took me to go to the ladies room our food had arrived! Definitely recommend!!! Wonderful smoked prime rib ver little fat baked potato and squash side. Fast friendly service. Can’t brag enough on this restaurant!!

This place is so good (shout out to the cooks)!! I got the Hog N Mac Burrito it was amazing. I added jalapenos and sour cream then dipped it in their bbq sauce. Their bbq sauce is so so good!!! The food came out quick and was delicious. The pork river street tacos were also great. Thankful this place was open for dinner on Sunday while we were here on our stay. We will definitely stop again on our way through. The servers did wonderful, keep it up ladies.

This is such a wonderful place! The Best Food, Best Staff, Best of Everything! My husband and I went to the Smokehouse Sports Bar in Hot Springs yesterday for the first time. It is a combination of smoked & Mexican food — the owner/chef/bartender/waiter/”The Smokin’ Mexican” is a very cool guy! You have got to check this place out!

Who cares about service when the food is so good. Local place with an out of town chef working magic with food. First taste was of the mac and cheese. Macaroni was a perfect al dente. The jalapeños were not a typical add, but it made my mouth water AND I’d order it again. Spouse had the brisket tacos. Awesome. She said it was the best Cole slaw she had. It was simple and pure with not a lot of added flavors. I had their BBQ with slaw on top. Remarkable. Best BBQ so far.

This is the best smoked meat I have had in a restaurant setting that I can remember. If you’re in the Black Hills and are going to head south, you better stop here in Hot springs and grab some excellent barbecue. If you’re from Western Nebraska, take the short drive up here and get some barbecue it’s awesome!

I used to live in HS and we are here to show my sons where I grew up. Looking around for a place to eat for a family of 6 was hard to find in a Monday in Hot Springs. We tried the Smokin Mexican…let me tell ya, this place was AWESOME! The staff were friendly, and the food was AMAZING!!! My boys are picky eaters, and they loved every bite. Smokin’ Mexican puts the HOT in Hot Springs! We almost gave up hope finding good food in Hot Springs until we decided to try what we thought was just a “bar” with bar food. Its Far from bar food. Hubby ordered the Smoked Prime Rib Special. It was cooked to medium rare perfection and absolutely delicious. I ordered the Smokin’ Pork Sandwich and it was mouth watering juicy!
