Today the Missouri Valley Region Model A Ford club toured from St. Louis to Eckert’s in Belleville to pick apples. Afterwards we drove our six antique cars to Smokin K’s. We were greeted by Dennis who set our group of 13 people. Our waitress was Reena. Fantastic service and the best BBQ ever. I’ve been there a few times before and brought our group for lunch. Everyone complimented me a choose such a great place.

My first time here at this restaurant. Saw the ads at the GCS ballpark so I thought I’d give it a try this evening. Nice atmosphere. Salad bar was a good compliment the meal. Ordered the signature pound and a half pork steak. Side of Asparagus which was awesome. The actual pork steak was mild flavor, sauce was somewhat of a good compliment but couldn’t taste the smoke flavor of the pork steak. Since being my first time here, my fault for not asking if it came out sauced. The portion size was so big, I had to take the 1/2 pound home to have later. Service was good. So I gave a three at this time. Maybe my taste buds were off, or had I ordered the pork steak without sauce I may have had a better experience. Will I try again? Yes. I will.

I have been searching for good BBQ in the St. Louis/Southern IL area for TWO YEARS! I have finally found an amazing place to eat! Atmosphere, service and food were both phenomenal! Our waiter was friendly, and very attentive.
The chicken was PERFECT! So moist and the skin still had a nice crisp to it. The ribs were great as well.
Baked beans were very tasty. Sweet but not too sweet. Very authentic flavors. I will definitely be returning! I have some pie to taste! Unfortunately I was too full this trip. Good work guys!!!

Second time I had lunch and it was great. They have a small but great salad bar as well as great sides to go with their BBQ specials. The first time I had the large and I mean large porksteak and this time I ate ribs and they where both very good. I will be back!

Great food! As a vegetarian, I didn’t expect to eat here, but the strawberry, spinach salad was excellent! Ribs and brisket excellent too, I’m told. Sides were very good as well! Prices were decent, we’ll be back…soon!

Stopped in for a quick lunch while I was running around the area for work. I had a pulled pork sandwich and seasoned fries. The meat was smokey, juicy and tender. The sauce was awesome, I loved it. I haven’t had seasoned fries that good in awhile. I’ll definitely be back in the future.

The food was great. I had the BBQ portsteak & it was delicious & very tender. The baked beans were great and the sweet & sour slaw was quite tasty. It was too much to eat. The service was very good and attentive. IT was worth the trip over from South County. We met a friend and totally enjoyed the experience.

1st time we ate here. Went up to the door sign said closed. Owner came to the door asked if we like to come in and have dinner. Yes we said but your closed. We was so greatful of his kindness. My husband and I had the best pulled pork and beef brisket sandwich. The coconut cream pie was yummy. Most definitely will be back.

We had an excellent meal! Our waitress was attentive and accomodating – great service! Their huge porksteak was a tremendous hit with my husband. Seasoned well, moist, and so tender a knife was not necessary!! I had the spinach strawberry salad and it was wonderful! The presentation of the salad preparation was first rate and the dressing proved to be the perfect complement to the spinach, strawberries, bacon, and candied pecans … delicious!! It was our first experience . . .looking forward to many more!!
