I’ve seen Smokin Jones BBQ on Facebook before, being it’s just about 30 miles away from Jeff City. Last week I went to try their brisket. It was very tender, juicy and really tasty. This week I saw they were having a one pound pork steak dinner on Thursday, so I decided that sounded like just the ticket. Take a bike ride and go get a pork steak dinner. I’m here to tell you it did not disappoint. The meat was really tender, pretty much fell apart, and the smoke flavor was just right. Pair that with some macaroni and cheese, some cheesy corn, baked beans or any one of the awesome sides they have, and you have the makings of a great meal! The sauces are all good, ranging from mild to a little heat, to a mustard sauce that was pretty good too. Sample all the sauces, see what you like best, can’t go wrong either way. If you are ever in Eldon, Missouri and have a craving for some BBQ meats, stop by Smokin Jones BBQ and give it a try. I think you’ll come back too!
Went back today and had brisket and ribs. Great as always!
Had ribs again today on Friday, which is RIB DAY! Everything was awesome!

Stopped in for a meal on our way to a lake camp. The food was delicious. We enjoyed the pulled pork and loved the “Sissy sauce.” We knew we chose the right place when, not long after we arrived, the place quickly filled up with other patrons. Check them out and support local.

We had a 2 meat dinner with 2 sides and fountain drinks for 2.
The meat was incredible, nice light smoke flavor and very tender.
Our sides were baked beans, like Grandma used to make and creamy Cole slaw, mayonnaise based and very flavorful. Many more to choose from. Next time I’ll definitely try the cornbread.
The sauces were Kansas City style. They had a special white sauce that is available on request, may or may not be your thing.
If you like pickles with your Que, they are very tasty.
The staff was super friendly and helped answer our questions quickly.
Although we haven’t tried their catering service it is available.
Overall a friendly place with very good food. Definitely worth stopping by for a great lunch or dinner.

Food is always amazing! Today I got the carnivore platter. Oh my I have not tried the smoked turkey before. It may be my new favorite although it is hard to choose because everything is good.

Their employee, Chance, is the absolute best to work with. He’s super polite, very helpful, and always busy yet always friendly and accommodating. Our company regularly places LARGE orders for this place practically right after opening their doors for the day and we are NEVER disappointed.

Great authentic bbq and friendly, knowledgeable staff. This place is a must stop for our family on the way to the Lake. We usually buy the brisket, ribs, and pepper-jack sausage. The cheesy corn is great and we are trying a blueberry cobbler tonight. Highly recommend you try it!

I have Celiac, so I can’t have gluten or I get violently sick. We contacted the manager who let us know all meats and sauces are gluten free and coleslaw, green beans and chips for sides are gluten free. We went in and asked if they could change their gloves and they had no problems with doing so and they cut my meat on a separate counter. They were SO nice about it!! Loved the food, had good sweet tea and I did not get sick from cross contamination. We WILL be going again!

I had forgotten how good the food is at Smokin Jones. But I won’t forget again. We’ll be making many more visits in the near future. If they aren’t your go-to restaurant – they should be. (Even the green beans are delish!). We split a two-meat/two-side platter and it was just enough for the two of us.

Second time there (first time was almost 5 star) and in both our meals the meat was barely warm. Asked for replacement and received the same luke warm meat. Asked for iced tea and was told it was frozen. Also, was out of forks. .. the few of us that were there all had to ask for silverware. Why couldn’t you fill the silverware? Kindly made aware before leaving of the meat temperature of both meals and that I loved my first visit but, this one was just not good at all. No compensation was offered, just an apology. I will give it one more shot, but might be a while. Prices are way too high for this quality of food and service.
