four stars based on several factors. Firstly, the initial experience was somewhat confusing. Upon arrival, I was uncertain whether I should place my order at or be seated first. After a brief deliberation, I was directed to a table, which I found some unclear. Secondly, while the young waiter was courteous, he was not particularly attentive. He made an error with one of my side orders and did not return to refill my tea or to present the check. A staff member later assisted with my bill and provided it to me. Thirdly, I ordered the barbecue sandwich with two side dishes. The portion size was generous, but the brisket was rather dry and required additional mustard and barbecue sauce to improve the flavor. Overall, I appreciated the portion sizes; the green beans were well-prepared, although the mac and cheese was somewhat runny. Having a background in Texas barbecue, I judged the meal accordingly. Therefore, I awarded a four-star rating.

In addition, we were served by a very old lady who was extremely kind. She is so sweet and loving. People like her should be paid very well and leave a good one of their own. We will return just for her. Oh, and also for the food. The place looks nice, clean and quiet. It has an old touch that makes you feel a little bit like you’re in the past. There is free parking and it’s not difficult to find parking.

I eat a lot of barbecue and this place is definitely in the top 10. Out of everything we tried the barbecue was definitely the best.
The pork loin, ribs and brisket were really good.
The boys got this hugemoungous 1lb cheeseburger that was pretty good.
Of all the sides I really liked the mashed potatoes and brown gravy and the potato salad was amazing.
I highly recommend it.

This was my first time visiting this restaurant and it was a great experience! The host staff were very friendly and got us seated quickly. Our waitress was very friendly and accommodating. The food was perfectly cooked and the portion sizes were very generous. The large chicken fried steak was very well cooked and the mashed potatoes with gravy tasted homemade with a wonderful amount of flavor. The restaurant is in a good location in town and they have a large menu selection with lots of good items. Would definitely come back here again!

Most of the food is great. Our last 4 visits, quality of the ribs they are known for were substandard at best.
The ribs were dry and had a char on them that made them inedible.
Service is outstanding and management is willing to make things right, however you can’t make things right if you serve the exact same product that was subpar to start with.

I’m a few weeks late in expressing my gratitude to Smokin Joe’s, but I wanted to give them a shoutout. Two days before Thanksgiving, my best friend unexpectedly lost his mom. Losing a loved one is never easy, especially right before the holidays, which makes it even more challenging.
The next day, Wednesday, I wanted to offer my friend’s family dinner as a small gesture to ease their burden. Unfortunately, restaurants are extremely busy on the day before Thanksgiving. I called another business, but they politely informed me that they couldn’t accommodate an additional catering order on such short notice. I understand the demanding nature of working in restaurants and appreciate their explanation.
Determined to help, I then called Smokin’ Joe’s Ribhouse in Bentonville. I explained that it was last minute (same day) and asked if they could fulfill a somewhat large pick-up order for later that afternoon. Without hesitation, they assured me that they could do it. They didn’t know the reason or urgency behind my request; they simply took care of it as they would any other order.
When I arrived at the restaurant to pick up the order, I felt a bit nervous. They couldn’t find it under my name, but fortunately, they had only written down my first name. In under five minutes, I was back in my truck with a large order of hot food, able to alleviate one less worry for my friend’s family on an incredibly difficult day. I later found out that Smokin Joe’s was his mother’s favorite restaurant. It seems that things have a way of working out as they are meant to.

Ate here several times. The pulled pork sandwich was really good and plentiful. The Mac n cheese side was lukewarm, more like runny cheese soup with macaroni and kind of small. The coleslaw was similar in soupiness but tasted pretty good. I like to dress my sandwich with coleslaw but it would have washed my pulled pork away. So I will eat there again but will try for some better sides.

Smoking Joe has been in NW Arkansas for many years now. It’s always consistently good and the staff is friendly. I love the ribs, massive sandwiches and fried pickles. And the ranch dressing for their salads is amazing! It’s usually very crowded at lunch but the service is pretty quick for the lunch hour time constraints. Don’t sleep on the fried mushrooms!

Want to clarify I did not eat. The atmosphere was so off putting we didn’t stay. The front desk had 4 people and they just stared at us like we were the worst thing to happen to them. No smile just stared very meanly at us. So we went elsewhere. evening staff around 7-8pm on 11/5. We just moved into a new house and really wanted a good meal.
We probably won’t be back until a turnover of staff happens.
