On a drive from socal to colorado i stopped at the Valor Hotel in Parowan Utah. Right off I-15. Smokin Joes BBQ shares a parking lot with the hotel and i walked over for dinner. The place is modestly sized, super clean and nicely decorated. The two women that waited on me were very charming and nice. I ordered a brisket sandwich and beans. I had a feeling it was going to be good when one of the ladies pulled out of a hot drawer a big piece of uncut brisket and started slicing. I’m not going to try to describe everything about it, but the brisket was ridiculously good. Everything about it. Just enough smoke, tender with the perfect amount of fat, super meaty taste. I was in Austin last year and Terry Black’s has got nothing on this place. Actually imo Smokin Joes is better 🙂 Bbq sauces also excellent and certainly homemade. The bbq beans were actually the best thing even with brisket being 10 out of 10. Without a doubt homemade and not beans from a can bits of brisket mixed in. Id have just that as a meal anyday.
I’ll never drive past Parawon without stopping at Smokin Joes again. You shouldn’t either.
Btw the Valor Hotel is very nice as well.

Everything I have tried here, is perfection. I love Smokey bbq and this is the best I’ve had in Utah. My faves are the wings, and brisket. All of the sides are yummy, try the queso Mac, and cucumber salad! My favorite restaurant in Parowan. It’s a must try!

Fries are 10/10. Brisket has been a bit dry both times I’ve eaten here. The brisket doesn’t get smoked long enough to get that burnt crust on the outside I love so much. 8/10. Chicken is good, coleslaw is good, 9/10, but the sauces just didn’t work for me and I’ve tried them all. However the spicy ranch is very good but a bit runny. It’s still all around good food.

We stopped at Smokin’ Joes after our boys basketball game with our whole team, and they absolutely knocked it out of the park. They were able to get us in and out quickly, which is no small feat with a large group. Everyone was very pleased with their meal—the food was amazing and the service was great. The restaurant was very clean, set up for a large group with plenty of seating, and it was the best BBQ I have ever eaten! We will definitely be back!

We used Smokin’ Joe’s to cater a luncheon after a graveside service. Everyone raved about the food and went back for seconds! The delicious food was affordable for our large group and the process of ordering and picking up the food was super easy. . We ordered brisket and pork sliders, beans, coleslaw and cornbread. It was the perfect day where we were able to enjoy good company and great food. Thank you!

Do not pass by Parowan without stopping!
You’ve got to try the Smoked Pork, Smoked Wings and BLEU CHEESE Sauce, Kid’s Chicken Tenders and Fries (neither frozen and nor pre-made), the Queso Mac, and their Fry Sauce.
Seriously, their sauces are so on point. There’s even honey readily available!
I really love the big splash that Smokin’ Joe’s has made in our small town.
Handmade, hand cut, homestyle, and heavenly.

Hungry and driving by Parowan, this is the place to stop for a meal right off exit 75 of I-15. Portions of fries were very large, and delicious. Had the Hog Heaven sandwich it was so yummy. Hubby had a chicken sandwich and he enjoyed it. He said we are stopping to eat here on the trip back up north next week. New and clean spot. Cool concept is that they share the space with a coffee shop that serves coffees between 6 AM and 11 AM, then Smokin’ Joe’s serves later in the day. Definitely worth the stop!

Saw this place on Facebook and decided to give it a try. We drove up from Enterprise and I’m glad we did! Great food and awesome staff. The ONLY thing I didn’t like was the cornbread was served cold, I prefer it warm. Other than that it was really good!
