I have been here before and had a good experience before Covid though so timing worked out i could stop again and I was looking forward to eating there BBQ and Brisket. I also got fried pickles, they were not good. I didn’t finish eating them see pic below. The BBQ & Brisket tasted like food service cooked food that was reheated not worth $14-$20/ pound and I got 2# of each so I was dissatisfied and disappointed in the food. It was done fast and the service was quick at 3:30p on a friday afternoon. I wont be stopping there anymore and makes me sad to see small business decline.

This was an excellent experience. I had a pulled pork sandwhich with green beans and mac n cheese. This is one of the best mac n cheese sides I’ve had in a while from a BBQ place. The pulled pork was delicious paired with their original house BBQ sauce. The decor and atmosphere feels very homey and funny.

This food is very good. I tried the platter thing, the shredded pork and ribs were great. Their signature sauce has a great combination of flavor. Fried potatoes? Yes. French fries are a really neat battered thing you have to taste to appreciate. Just because the food was so good we tried the peanut butter pie and the carrot cake. I thought the pie was going to be the winner, it was really good but the cake was no joke. It is no exaggeration when I say we are planning an overnight stay in the area this coming fall just to eat here again. Go here, it is an exceptional restaurant in a world full of mediocre food places.

This place is so cute and cool when pulling up and going inside only gets better! I love the rustic old fashion look! Now the food oh my goodness is it so good! I got the Jr pork which is just like a regular pork sandwich to me! Plus the Jr pork comes with two sides for $11.99! I also got dessert and that was fire! I got the apple cobbler that came with ice cream! You just can’t go wrong with anything they have! That’s such a great price! Everything was fresh, hot and tastes amazing! The service was amazing as well! If you are in Bedford this is a must stop! The owners are also believers and have free bracelets that have scripture on them! Keep it up you all are awesome!

I am not sure what some of the negative reviews were about. I absolutely loved this place. The service was beyond phenomenal. April is a blessing. I had the pulled pork sandwich with sides of onion rings and fried taters. The pork was fantastic. Texture, flavor, perfect amount of Smokey. The sauces were fantastic. The onion rings phenomenal. The fried taters were a bit cold, but still not awful. Topped it off with an amazing home made pie. When I am back in the area, I am stopping by.

My family visited Smokin Jim’s this week while we were camping at Lake Monroe. My husband & I had the brisket manhattan & the 1/2 rack rib meal. The food & bbq sauces were absolutely delicious – ribs fell right off the bone & the brisket was sooo tender! Our server, April was the sweetest & most genuine lady! She made the whole experience even more amazing for us and our kiddos. Love to see a family-owned business who also employs wonderful people. Thank you!

This place is phenomenal! We just moved from Bloomington to Bedford a month ago and have talked about coming here for years and we finally did. The food was amazing, the sauce selection was many and all were great! The service…was great. I don’t remember our server, a younger blonde girl. She was so attentive and sweet and chatted with us about moving and boats and she was just great! The atmosphere was my selling point, from the worship music in the background to the verses on the menu to the decorations. This establishment stands on the grace of our holy God. We WILL be returning!

We are not from this area at all, and were looking for something really good to get us by for most of the day. There are lots of BBQ joints in this state. But until today we had failed to find one that is worth going out of your way to visit twice. Atmosphere is very family oriented. Comfortable. Not hot, not cold. Very friendly staff. The food….was….phenomenal. pulled pork was not a bit overcooked, very tender. The burgers were also incredible! Seriously…. for the price I don’t think we could have gone anywhere better. The sauces had incredible flavor that is way beyond any sauces we have tried at other establishments in and around Indianapolis. If we are in the mood for BBQ, we would be willing to drive an hour and a half just to come here. And that’s saying a lot! Thank you for the wonderful experience!!!
