A cool marina dining location, friendly staff, excellent drink selection, 10-12 drafts on tap. Bartender is a retired cop and he knows how to mix a good blend of your favorite.
Menu has an about anything or combination you could want. Ribs and chicken looks like the cook was doing his job. Tuna was on the mark,and fresh. Slaw was just right. Servings were ample.
The kitchen staff and servers are doing a good job for the customers.

We were in the area today and decided to stop for lunch. We noticed the parking lot wasn’t full and on their sign showed under new management. We were hungry and still decided to go in. The outdoor seating was full and we were seated inside. Not many tables were filled possibly 1 or two before us.. We remember this place from stopping here several times a few years ago from being so packed and the food was great. We were seated and served by Brooke. It took 19 minutes to get a beer. Actually we wanted to leave as we saw many people in the patio not getting their meals. But the food came and we stayed. I had a grilled chicken sandwich which was just ok. McDonalds probably had a better one, my husband had a Cuban sandwich. For a Cuban sandwich it was disappointing one slice of ham , a little pork ,and one pickle inside. We didn’t bother to complain because for one thing the waitress was talking about us to the other servers when we were about to leave before getting the beer and way before the food came. We had only received water. So we are not returning

This is a spot right on the Marina, so if you sit outside you can watch boats come and go and enjoy the fresh air. The tables were sticky and there was open garbage cans outside that grackles dug into constantly, normally there aren’t as many birds outside but on today’s visit the birds were swooping across tables and screeching quite loud. We felt that if a lid was on the garbage can outside that the birds would not be so emboldened to take food from the garbage can. We don’t mind the birds but when they screech it can be quite loud, they poo on furniture, and they fight over the scraps. However we did not let this spoil our time. Especially our waitress, Alexis, who was really prompt, smart, and sweet and had an amazing attitude. We really enjoyed our time and our meals. We ate great meals and had drinks. The burgers, grouper, and onion rings are very good here. We recommend you visit and love to bring friends here. This is not an upscale place but it’s very casual and entertaining and delicious. Plenty of parking, a nice big bar, good music system, clean bathrooms, and prompt service. We love to visit this place.

If you like smoked meats or traditional american cuisine, this is your place. Our local boat club came down for our annual luncheon. Some of us drove & some came by boat. We had a very large group. Our club Commodore spoke with ownership before making our trip. The entire staff was very accomodating. Food was hot and excellent. Servers were very friendly and polite. We knew it would take a bit longer than usual because of our large crowd. Could not ask for a more friendly place for a great lunch or dinner.

We took the drive from Venice down to Placida and it was 100% worth it for Smokin Jerry’s Tiki Bar and Grill.
The food was excellent all around, but let’s talk about the wings. I’m from Buffalo — so I’m legally required to judge wings at a higher level. And I’ll say this… they passed the test. Crispy, flavorful, cooked right. No sauce soup, no soggy nonsense. Legit.
Josh was our waiter and he absolutely crushed it. Attentive without hovering, refills magically appeared before we even had to ask, and he kept the whole experience smooth and fun. The guy runs his section like a pro.
Great tiki vibe, great service, great food. We’ll definitely make that drive again —

I was greeted by a friendly hostess that suggested seating at the high top seats as it was a cooler area. The waitress was friendly and attentive. I was hoping for a new menu to go with the new owners but they still use the older one. That’s fine, as The Texan burger is my go to meal. Food was good and the drinks were cold. Finally, the check was lower than I expected and I happily wondered if they lowered their prices. All said, I had an enjoyable meal and plan to return.

There’s not much atmosphere here and the service was horrible. They mentioned that the guys liked to drink but they didn’t even birthdayt removing cups or dishes. I bought fish and only got 2 small pieces but so much onion rings that were incredibly greasy. So sorry. Hope it gets better. There’s a lot of us that live close. Is like to think it will get better
