Nice atmosphere, too!
After going back, the fried shrimp tacos may be my favorite. I was also pleasantly surprised to find out kids eat free on Thursday with the purchase of an adult meal.

Pleasantly surprised on how great this place was. We had the puffy tacos, the brisket tacos and the cauliflower tacos. We also had the trio appetizer which was chips, salsa, queso and guacamole. The queso was really good. Very thick and full of flavor. The guacamole was fresh and very tasty. The Salsa unfortunately tasted like it was from a bottle. My favorite tacos was the cauliflower…go figure!!! It was packed full of flavor. The shell was just a soft flour tortilla but it paired well with all the ingredients inside. The puffy tacos was my next favorite. Ground beef and all the toppings inside a great shell. The rice was a little mushy but had authentic flavor of Spanish rice and the beans were good, I’m not a bacon fan, but for those who are you will be pleased there was a lot of bacon in them. If we are ever in the area again, we would definitely be back!

The food was pretty good, it was a bit different, the elote which is the corn, was really good, spicy and a bit sweet, the fries where good. I had the smoked chicken taco, it was more on the sweet side, that slaw was really good, and the taco brisket was OK. The service was friendly and it was very welcoming.

Went for the first time and did the drive through. Nobody in line…we ordered 1 item …waited over 20 min…had to honk to get someone to come to the widow . The young man was apologetic, but let us know the young lady that made our order finished it set it down and clocked out and left! So ….big disappointment with service…the food was an order of loaded fries with beef…very very salty….the cheese sauce was as well very very salty…un edible salty…

Since you get chips and salsa served with your meal on the house, you have enough for a second meal. It’s a great option for veggie lovers.

I have been to the Smoking Jalapeno twice in killing Alabama. You’ll need to stop what you’re doing and go now. They have got Taco Bell beat by a long shot.
The prices were reasonable & the food was awesome & the service was great too will be going back in the future.

Variety of choices for tacos. We got the smoked chicken, fried chicken, and the fried avocado tacos. They were all great. Salsa was pretty good and the cheese dip was terrific. The Mexican street corn was delicious. I’m happy to see something like this place in this area. The waitress we had was very friendly and helpful.

It has been a while since I made my first review when they first opened but Smoking Jalapeno has become a regular of mine because I absolutely love their food. Enchiladas (smoked chicken) are my favorite go-to dish. Because I do not like very spicy food I have them go light on the enchilada sauce. It’s always very hot and you get free chips and salsa while you wait.
Their fries are very tasty and are you doing cooked fresh when you order them. At first there wasn’t seasoning on the fries but lately there has been too much so I request no seasoning as none is better than too much.
Their polo (smoked Chicken) tacos or smoked Chicken is very tasty but best to ask for the white sauce on the side because they usually pile it on heavy otherwise. The white sauce however is very tasty. If you want sprinkle cheese rather than slaw just ask and they will accommodate usually any request. Their very good at accommodating special request.
The chips I got were fresh and tasty as was the salsa. The brisket taco and fajita tacos are also tasty. If you do happen to get something that’s not hot ask then to fix it and they usually will.
The only negative that I can mention is regarding their iced tea. The tea tastes great and usually whether sweet or unsweet has a great flavor but the problem is that often the tea picture runs out and they’re not as quick refilling it but maybe that’s due to the amount of help that they have and how busy they are at times.
