Truly gold! The new owners, Dan & Laurie, not only genuinely care greatly about their restaurant, customers & staff, they put tremendous care in the high quality food & service! Very good folks! I work there & love my job & co-workers like family! I’ve tried all the food & everything is so good, I swear by it as best BBQ food around! Come see for yourself, I bet you will keep coming back ~ pretty much everyone does! Fridays are burnt ends day that you don’t want to miss. Those ribs & peach cobbler a la mode though! Oh my!!

Long time since I’d had BBQ and first time customer craving Barbecue met employees Brittany and Blake they’d mentioned the best item was the menu was their brisket and especially the brisket burnt ends a special offered on Fridays. My mouth began to water so I phoned in a takeout order for the sampler dinner (see menu), a variety of different sides and choice of meats (rib tips, brisket)to choose from, a great representation of savory items to get acquainted with what Smokin’ Gold BBQ had to offer.
Rebecca greated me at the register front counter also raved about the burnt ends so I ordered the burnt ends extra with my order. The sides were great, beans, coleslaw, macaroni w/cheese, pickles, potatoe salad etc., and Texas toast. The brisket to my surprise was shredded instead of sliced and the rib tips were sliced as well. The Brisket burnt ends were tender and grilled to perfection. All meat had great flavor. The only disappointment was there was excess of fat not enough burnt ends meat. Other than that the experience was one I expect to revisit in the future.

First time in. I was hopeful that it would be fantastic. The owner and staff was very nice & hospitalble. I ordered the 3 meat dinner. (Ribs, rib tips and pulled pork) Everything was good. The pork took the show. Very tender and nicely seasoned. The ribs and tips were seasoned well. We ordered the sampler platter which had all the meats and a taste of all the sides for I think $32.99. Me and my husband split it and still had leftovers to take home. The taste of everything was amazing. The peach cobbler was quite literally the best peach cobbler I’ve ever had. And my whole table felt the same way. I’ve been living in this area for over 3 years and I finally stopped by Smokin Gold BBQ last month. I used to work a lot and so I didn’t really have a chance to check this place out. I’m actually here right now as I’m writing this review because after having my lunch, I believe this place deserves my input. The BBQ was what I hoped for. I ordered half ribs with fries and mac n cheese. It’s Sunday Game Day and so I can catch up with my favorite football teams on several of their TVs. The folks here are so very nice. This place really meets my expectations and so whenever I want some BBQ, this place is not far from where I live and I can just drop on in. Ya should definitely come by here if ya haven’t yet! I highly recommend it.

My wife and I both ordered the Brunswick and the look and the taste was not like any Brunswick we tasted. I added some meat for me to eat it. Extremely Great BBQ! I have eaten at the Restaurant and was unaware of them catering until I went to a conference in Atlanta. Wow what a great spread and such friendly staff. I would recommend for any function.

I was excited to try this place but I was not even able to enjoy it because upon sitting down and then opening up my food only to find a hair in my macaroni and cheese. I am so glad I inspected my food first instead of just eating it.
My food was stapled shut in a brown bag, so I know that this had to happen at the restaurant. This has turned me off from wanting to try here again.
