I recently purchased this dish and wanted to share some honest feedback. The food was cooked really well — great texture and clearly prepared with care. However, it was very bland and lacked seasoning.
I understand that some guests may have dietary restrictions, and that’s important. That said, adding more seasoning — or even offering seasoning on the side — would really enhance the flavor and overall experience for many customers.
With just a little more flavor, this dish could be excellent. I hope this feedback helps, because the cooking itself is definitely on point!

The atmosphere is pretty laid-back and has a biker bar feel which is really cool. I ordered the three meat platter and the meats I chose were the chicken, pork, and ribs. I found both the pork and chicken to be dry and the smoke was only a slight hint of flavor And it was far from what I would consider decent barbecue and I would not order those two meats again. The best meat on the plate was in fact the ribs that were cooked perfectly and seasoned well. The collard greens were also delicious. While I was disappointed in the chicken and the pork, the service was very good and I will definitely give them another shot with some other menu items.

Phenomenal food. Recommend the 2lb bison, the st. louis pork ribs, okra, hush puppies, sweet potatoes, and okra (not salty).
Been here 2 times and ribs never fail.

Smokin Dave’s absolutely delivered tonight. We ordered the Not So Teeny Wahine platter to share and added an okra appetizer, and everything that hit the table was legit.
The meats were exactly what you want from a good barbecue joint: smoky, tender, and packed with flavor without drowning in sauce. You could tell the pit did the talking. The okra was a great starter too, crispy without being greasy and a perfect way to kick things off.
Sides can make or break a BBQ place and Smokin Dave’s nailed them. The mac and cheese was creamy and rich, the mashed potatoes were comforting and buttery, the collard greens had that slow-cooked depth you hope for, and the red beans and rice brought a little Southern soul to the table.
Overall, just a really solid barbecue experience. Great flavors, generous portions, and the kind of meal that makes you want to come back and try the rest of the menu.

Service was kind and attentive, so no complaints there. The brisket was extremely dry and no flavor, I had to mix it into the mac and cheese to make it edible. The sausage was okay but nothing special. The portioning also felt a bit off and the two-meat option didn’t seem to match the price or the amount served. Overall, I don’t think I would come back.

It is rare to like everything about a restaurant. The food is awesome! The music was from my era and so nice. The restaurant was decorated tastefully for Christmas. No dancing trees or anything like that but nice greenery. Staff is so nice. The place was super clean. I saw bikers, families and boomers all enjoying themselves!

Amazing everything! Prices are very reasonable. Food was outstanding. I tried the pick 3 and had the ribs, brisket and chicken. The portions are outstanding , we had plenty leftover for a full meal for next day. The flavor made you want to keep eating more and all the meats were so tender and juicy!!! Hands down the best I have had in a very long time. I have been looking for a place with amazing bbq. Their sweet tea is made just right. Not too sweet, it’s just right. Service was great, they were all super attentive and just happy friendly staff. I will definitely be back. It was amazing experience all the way around!!!

Smokin Dave’s is some the best BBQ in Colorado. I worked in Kansas City for several years and ate the best BBQ in the country. Smokin Dave’s has a great atmosphere and a good smoke on their meats. Good macaroni and cheese. The collard greens were terrible and the red beans and rice is bland. But their smoked meats are on point!
