Great BBQ for sure!! The waitress seemed a bit disinterested and ready to get out of there but everything else was great, the fries were light and crispy and everything was cooked to perfection! It’s more expensive than advertised but it’s still very good bbq nevertheless

We had a great day at Smokin crows. The staff was wonderful when our crew grew from 12-15 expected to over 30 showing up. They stayed on top of things taking all of our orders and getting our food out hot and fast. The food was great everyone enjoyed their meal. And they even loaned us their crow for a photo opportunity.

The food was ok. But nobody inside the restaurant including the Waitresses, Cook or other customers were wearing masks or shields which made it feel completely unsafe. One of the waitresses was openly bragging about not having to do it. Mask Mandate or not, have some compassion for other people and do it at least when you have customers. This completely ruined the experience.

Seems like whenever we’re traveling I find the best bbq by accident. The sign caught our attention so we stopped and glad we did. The ribs were cooked perfectly with a dry rub and the 3 sauces they carry were each unique and flavorful. Definitely recommend a stop here especially if you like bbq but they also have a nice selection of burgers and other food.

Used to really like this place. The food used to be spectacular and the staff was always A+ friendly. My family’s last couple visits have not been good though.
The staff the last two visits have been… meh. They are friendly enough, but you can clearly tell your service is not the #1 priority among the staff anymore. Even during peak hours when I visited the last two times, they just didn’t seem like they were there to make money and were just kind of floating around without immediate customer needs in focus.
The worst part about recent visits though has been the food. It seems like the prices have increased about 30 percent, and the quality dropped by half. The pork we ordered was clearly not fresh and was more like a soup because of the puddle of grease it was served in. The brisket has been horribly dry and rubbery- like it was reheated in a microwave both of my last two visits. The onion straws have also been fried twice this last visit and were just awful. The sauces all were in bottles that were not being washed properly and honestly just didn’t taste good at all like they used to.
It really makes me sad because at one time this was my favorite BBQ place around Madison, but I will not spend $60+ to get subpar food a third time in a row. Probably won’t be changing this review unless I do happen to go back one day and things are much better.

My husband and I went in last night for some nachos. Not only was the food delicious, but the hostess working was incredibly kind. It was my birthday yesterday and it was going kind of rough. They left a little note on both of our takeout boxes and it was the sweetest ever. That tiny little action brightened my whole night and I really appreciated it. I never caught her name, but I just wanted to thank her. She was working July 27, 2023 between 6pm and 7pm.
