Really fun open air BBQ restaurant with great food. Today my husband and I had pulled pork sandwiches. He had chips and a soda and I had potato salad. We got a piece of pie to bring home. Our sandwiches were huge and we probably should have shared one. The service was fast but I wish my sandwich was a little hotter. I’m fussy about potato salad and theirs is very good. We haven’t tried the pie yet so I can’t comment on that. Service was super fast and the staff are fast, efficient and friendly. Great place. Well worth the hour drive

Great food and an awesome experience. This is a no thrills BBQ joint. We had pulled pork and a club sandwich with a side of Mac and cheese. Pork and sandwich had great flavor. Turkey in the sandwich was incredible. Mac and cheese were great. Not your traditional Mac and cheese. You can tell homemade. I forgot to mention had cherry pie too. That was very good too! Ate that before the pics it was so good. Plenty of seating and parking. Seating is outdoors but most of it is covered. Great place we will be back!!

I don’t care what anyone else says. ORDER. THE. BRISKET. SANDWICH. It comes with a side of au jus and BBQ sauce, but don’t you dare sauce that sandwich! Proceed only to dip. Trust me. If you have a hankering for BBQ, steal a bite of your friend’s pulled pork sandwich, but do not, under any circumstances, screw up the assignment here. The loaded sweet potato is massive. Since there’s plenty to share, repay your friend with a fork full of this delicious treat. NEVER SURRENDER THE BRISKET!!!

This was by far the best BBQ I’ve had in Illinois. In fact, the only BBQ better that I’ve had was Preachers in Tennessee. Loved the rustic open air building. They had outdoor seating as well.

Fantastic food and pole barn decor. All food our group had was great! Ribs were the best!! Yummy Mac n cheese. Nice people!! Lots of space, brand new beepers when your food is ready. Very clean space, tons of parking… Nice drive thru. Can’t wait to go back!!

While we travel the country we have the opportunity to visit many wonderful places & their local restraunts. Smokin Coop BBQ Pit has to be one if the best BBQ places we’ve been to so far. Love the relaxed atmosphere. We have very few outdoor restaurants. This one is a favorite. Family and dog friendly. No alcohol. There is a drive through area for ordering and pick up if you don’t want to eat there.

My cats won’t even eat this terrible brisket. Rubbery, hard, tasteless. These people should be shut down for allowing the public to think this is acceptable brisket. Why is it served as a soup?! Called and asked for a refund and they said we have to bring it back. It’s 30 mins away. Cornbread also garbage

Stopped in for lunch and have to say the brisket sandwich was good but the turkey club was out of this world probably one of the best sandwiches l’ve had in a long time.

Beautiful place to eat! Everything was absolutely delicious! Super fair prices! I can’t wait to go back next season! My only regret was not buying a bottle of the BBQ sauce.
