Sitting on a picnic table here now. Food was great. Had the cheeseburger combo with an additional small onion ring. I wouldnt advise the extra unless you are really hungry, the small fry portion with the combo is ample.

Ordered a poutine and fried pickles. Lots of gravy on the poutine, the fried pickles had a tasty batter overtop as well served with ranch which paired well. Prices were reasonable, especially for the pickles since they are usually expensive everywhere. Lots of shade for the little pup so perfect for everyone!

We’re from San Diego, California and we look forward to poutine from this chip wagon every chance we get to come to Algonquin area. We were so sad they weren’t in Maynooth when we first came up but luckily we found out the truck was in Bancroft now. I always get the peameal burger with the poutine fries, it’s delicious. We’ve tried most of the other items and you really can’t go wrong here. Excited they have T-shirts, only wish they took apple/card payments.

Every time I’m in town this is a place to stop. No wonder it’s rated one of the best in Ontario. Owners are super friendly, food is always fantastic, good amount of parking, plenty of seating and great views. Just bring cash.

The poutine was great but expensive, which would be easier to swallow if the owner wasn’t so cranky and rude for literally no reason. Look at all the 2-star reviews. It’s not the customer’s fault that you work in a hot chip truck. And the day I was there it was 20 degrees and empty. And I don’t have you mixed up with another chip truck as per your reply below. I rest my case.

Food amazing!!!!!! We got the poutine and onion rings. They were piping hot when we got it everything so fresh. Onion rings were crispy and broke well. Didn’t pull out a hole onion on the first bite! Also the poutine is amazing. I’m super picky with my poutine and this was by far my top 3! And yes I’ve been to Quebec and Montreal for poutine. As soon as you see this place u know it’s gonna be amazing! And the prices are great too.

My family has been cottaging here for over 50 years, and we’ve been coming to this chip truck for more than 15 years. We will not be stopping here anymore. The owner genuinely has a horrible attitude—maybe we caught her on an off day, but being rude to people paying for your food just isn’t right.

Locals told me this was the place, and they didn’t exaggerate. This fry wagon is worth the stop. 5 stars for atmosphere because nothing here deserves a negative. Poutine was out of this world amazing. Will stop every time I can.. Next time will be a family size for myself because I can’t get enough lol. Friendly service and amazing food. Let’s go!!
